Although I saw the measurement I couldnt have imagined they were so small.

The two combs are absolutely gorgeous and are a quality product. They are not large but suitable to keep hair back and hold in place. They may not be suitable for course thick hair but are great for thick fine hair. I highly recommend this product.

Yes these are small, but the dimensions are listed in the product description, so I don’t know why some reviewers are surprised by the size. I agree that for very thick hair they are probably not the best choice, however for fine or thin hair they are absolutely perfect. Seeing as most hair products cater to thick luscious hair, it’s nice to finally have something for us baby fine hair girlies. These are on the pricy side but, wow they are high quality and beautiful. They are definitely not cheap looking or feeling. They hold my fine hair back perfect and also go great in updos. They help to add volume and dimension by holding the hair in place, but not down flat. I love them and will be buying them in every color. Made in France.

I have difficult hair to secure off my face: it's curly, yet fine. There is a lot of it - so too small or thin an accessory will not work. On the other hand - many of the larger, heftier accessories fall out because of how fine it is. If all you need is something to secure your hair off your face, but allow it to fall down behind your ear - this works well. I've tried putting my hair back in a pony tail, and then lifting it off my neck on a hot day - by securing this comb in the lifted pony tail - and it's not strong or big enough to serve that function, though
