Weather DefenderGarage Door Seal (2.9m)

This was the only such product I could find which would close the average 29mm gap left by the local council contractors when they replaced the door to the garage I rent.It was not he cheapest on the market but it is very well designed and solid rubber throughout with no air cavities in the high quality extrusion moulding.Apart from preventing ingress of water and debris under the door, my main reason for purchase was to make it more difficult for any would be thieves to get a crowbar under the bottom of the door and try to lever the up and over door off its flimsy upper catches without making it obvious. In this regard it has gets a big thumbs up.I was apprehensive as to whether the adhesive provided with it would be sufficiently tenacious to bond to the concrete floor but again I am impressed. After 24 hours it has set so hard that you would need to dig up the concrete to remove it!One tip I would suggest is that you take time to fit the strip carefully around each side pillar of the garage. You can simply cut it between making installation easier and quicker but by trimming carefully to fit around the pillars you will achieve a much better seal and further resistance to forced entry.

The product is both a good idea and on the whole very successful. For most garages this will keep leaves and water ingress out of the garage. Sadly for mine it was a partial success as we have significant flooding problems and as we have now discovered one side of the door is lower than the other, and we still get some water in but nowhere as bad as before. There were no problems sticking it to the floor as others have said. If you have a serious flooding problem you may need a higher lip but for most people this will be a great product and is not difficult to drive over.

This garage door weather strip is all I expected - and more. It is easy to cut and lay, with all adhesive and protective rubber gloves provided. It has been in position for many months now and doesn't show any signs of lifting or creeping. It is driven over several times a day by both car and motor cycle with no ill effects. It has stopped all draught, water and debris from coming under the garage door, keeping the garage cleaner, drier and warmer. Highly recommended.

Left it out in the sun to let it straigted, worked wonders so left it in garage to cool again.Fitted it 2 days later, the glue did not hold so first rain when opening door this thing lifted from cement, the sealant not sticking to floor or the product atall.Not stuck to garage door, did not rain for a week so was dry, it just did not stick well.Then while working in garage with door open in sunlight this thing stretched by 5cm and lifted for a second time after gluing it down a second time because the glue did not hole.Currently in place working well with just garage door holding it in place so will have to source another sealant to seal it to floor as no point having a weather seal that let's the weather in.

What a difference this makes!I was getting rain and debris blown under the garage door so needed something to block this up.It was very easy to install. I cut to length using a junior hacksaw and used the supplied tube of adhesive to stick to the floor. My garage door is slightly over 7ft and the tube supplied was more than enough. Put some bricks on top to help the adhesive grab and within a couple of hours, couldn't move the weather strip.The result has been no more wind-driven rain or leaves in the garage.

great item, seals garage door from water ingress. comes rolled up, so lay it out flat overnight, and it will go down easy when you lay it the next day, there is plenty of adhesive in the tube supplied to do the job, and it sticks well.does exactly what it says on the tin ( well advert anyway ).

This is a great product, easy to use and cut. The glue is very strong. Make two parallel line then zig in between them. Just one tip. The glue is very strong so any movement of the rubber strip should be done straight away. When strip is laid close the garage door then tap the strip gently towards the door with your food to get the best seal. Product worth the monay, and yellow strip on top is solid and great. I hope this helps.

Have installed the product. Had to cut it little bit to adjust the length. Its expensive however good quality. So far it has managed to bridge the gap underneath the garage door and keep dust and fallen leaves from getting inside the garage.
