The magnet IS strong enough to keep the gooseneck stable.That was my primary worry.Unlike the 12 inch models, this one comes with silicone jaw caps instead of vinyl.

These are incredible! I plan to use these in my new sewing room with a rustic metal strip to hold my sewing instructions! The magnet is very strong and the little clasps are super tough. I can take them off and on easily and will just have pics hanging up with magnets when not using these arms! I'm a fan!

Amazing product. Magnet is powerful and holds and positions my endoscope very well for my valve steam seals project on my BMW N62engine. A must-have tool for any DIY'er.

Not really flexible. Not very easy to bend. If you want very very fine adjustment, this is not the answer. But if you tolerate like 1cm error when it's holding something, it acts stably, and tightly, so it works efficiently in that sense.

I read someone complained this has weak magnet.... I don't think it is fully accurate to say that... it depends on what surface you stick it to. I tried a few different surface. Stick it onto the various surfaces, to some it's easily taken off, to a few it's difficult to come off. Actually, it is now forever sticks to my baby wall plate because I have difficulty to move it to make it come off the plate @@. That is alright, I still use it, just with restriction....maybe I will buy a 2 one.

Strong magnet and the clamp isn't crazy strong. I've found that often times the clamps are way too strong and in my opinion risk damaging the circuit board. This clamp strength is just fine, in my opinion.

Great addon for any helping hands unit, or even on its own.

Good solid magnet and well built. A little expensive for what they are but a solid product.

Incorrect listing. After a long wait, this arrives and is 16cm not 16 inches, so it is useless for my application.
