Produces strong red light at useful wavelengths. Simple design, limited controls.
The whole field of home-based red light therapy is one that is continually debated. Useful or not? There are plenty of studies to suggest both answers. Still, there are enough reasonably well carried out studies that demonstrate some red light / beneficial effect, photobiomodulation, that a lot of people have tried it--and many swear by it.The development of high-powered, low-cost LED light sources has made it possible to develop red light therapy devices that are small and relatively inexpensive (compared to the cost of a useful device just a few years ago). This particular device promises a combination of high-intensity light in some of the purportedly useful wavelengths:Red light: 630nm, 660nmNear-infrared: 850nmYou basically get only one setting: On/off.While I can't attest to any amazing abilities of red light therapy in general, I can affirm that this device is capable of generating very intense light (see photos). In the kit you get:** Red light therapy flashlight** 2 x 18650 Li-Ion battery, 3000 mAH (flashlight only requires one battery, so the second is a spare)** Cheap USB-powered battery charger (can only charge one battery at a time)** Small travel bagTo turn the light on, you just push the button at the end of the device. Push it again to turn it off.As these kits and red light devices go, this is pretty bare-bones. There is no switch to opt among the red light wavelengths, no stand for the light, etc. But if you want a portable device to pack in your suitcase or backpack, this light is no bigger than a standard flashlight.I am not sure I can attest to the value of red light therapy, but if you're a red light believer, this kit offers a way to bring that technology home for a reasonable price.

Seems helpful
This is a pretty nice red light therapy device. It comes in the form of a metal flashlight with the switch at the bottom or base. The golden finish with knurling is nicely done. It is easy to hold and to use. I'm using it for some minor blemishes on the skin. It seems helpful as the red light is very bright and powerful. On time will tell how good it works in the long run. This comes well packaged in a sleeved, flip-top hard paperboard case. Inside is a foam block with cutouts to cradle the red light therapy device and the accessories, which include 2 rechargeable Li-ion batteries (18650 cells at 3000mAH), a cheap USB-powered portable single-cell charger and a drawstring microfiber bag.Overall, I quite like this red light therapy device. It is sturdy and appears to be well made. The light is very bright and seems powerful enough for the job. It is too early to tell the results. Nevertheless, my skin feels good right after using it. So far so good. I'm giving it 4 stars for now. I took a star off because the portable charger looks very cheaply made.

Very powerful - great for spot treatments
This is a very bright light therapy device, and seems to be a good bit more powerful than my previous handheld red light device.**3 LEDs, 1 at 630 nm, 1 at 660nm deep red light, and 1 at 850 nm near-infrared light.**This device claims a ridiculously high irradiance (800 mw/cm2), which would be incredible if true. But I am inclined to doubt this number. All the other portable light devices I've used similar to this one use almost the same battery, look very similar, and only put out around 200mw/cm2.**This device uses a 3000mAh battery, whereas my other model only used 2500mAh. (Note, some other similar devices come with as high as 5000mAh batteries.)**Part of the manual recommends 30 to 60 second treatment per spot (which seems appropriate), but then another part recommends a 30 minute treatment time, 2x a day. 60-minute treatment time would be completely excessive and obviously an error in the instructions. Most other devices like this have a 3 or 5 minute cutoff switch.Thoughts:It's well made, a good value, and uses Activa lenses to concentrate the beam - making it very bright. I am pretty skeptical of the 800mw/cm2 claim, since this is 4x more than almost any other device of this style. If true, it wold be extremely impressive - but I would need to see some more proof to believe such a large figure. Overall this is a very nice light therapy device for the price - with a unique build and functionality, I haven't really seen any other lights on the market that look exactly like this one, and it is definitely powerful enough to get the therapeutic benefits of red light.

Batteries included
I like that it has two rechargeable batteries. I charged up both batteries fully before I used them. They take quite a while to recharge. However the vendor was generous in giving you two batteries so you can use one and recharge one. This is very nice in today’s time when vendors have gotten so cheap with their products. Overall, if you like red light therapy you may really like this for travel or to carry in your gym bag. You can do red light therapy anywhere with this. Have time on a bus, you can use it. Have time on your lunch break, you can use it. It’s simple and convenient. I like it.

Nice metal build, simple to use.
This is a nice red-light device, I use it for knee pain and shoulder pain as I have had good luck with red light therapy before, this light emits a slight heat too but not enough to burn, I couldn't find the exact LED wavelength this uses, but I assume it's 660 nm since this emits a deep red color, which helps pain, this light is super bright, and it can shine through my palm!, it's kinda hard to use in some areas like on your back, but great for easy access areas like arms, legs, feet, knees, face...etc.I actually like it includes "removable" batteries, this really prolongs the life of the device, you can always buy a new 18650 battery if needed, the included charger is decent too, it provides two batteries, so you can have an extra one charged as a backup. The device is a fully metal construction with a simple on/off button, it comes with a storage pouch, 2 batteries, and a 18650 battery charger.Note: Under camera I can see a slight purple hue around the red, so this "might" have IR wavelengths as-well, but I am unsure, the product description is vague, and it doesn't state in the manual, one product image says 660 nm, another one says it has 3 light wavelengths 630 nm, 660 nm, 850 nm, so if purchasing I would assume it's red light only.Overall I like this Red Light Therapy Device, hopefully the seller can better clarify the LED wavelengths.
