GTD-2 B Flat Brass Trombone with Case & 12C Mouthpiece,Gold Finished,Tenor Trombone

First of all I would like to say this horn is not bad by any stretch, but it's also not the best. I'm just going to give you my honest impressions as a trombone player of 14 years.The good.-The horn has a pleasant sound for the most part ( will going to detail later)- the F attachment works as it should most of the time. And with the multiple tuning slides you can adjust it to be just right.The bad- the horn has a small chunk of something inside of the handle on the main slide. And because of the wave trombones are constructed there is no physical way to remove it from in there so it has a constant rattling sound. I suspect that's just a manufacturer defect with my particular horn.- again, with my particular horn it did not come with a cork for the spit valve. It had the lever but no cork so it was leaking massive amounts of air and destroying the sound quality- they forgot to add silicon packets into the case when shipping oh, so the internal dates of the horned have begun to corrode. I caught it before it turned into red rot, but on an instrument corrosion should not be happening with a brand-new horn. It was most noticeable inside of the F attachment valve which actually seized up on me a few times. However I added some of olive oil and it appears to have cleared up the issue.To wrap it up, if you are someone who previously played and are looking for a means to get back into it then I can recommend this. But if you are a college student looking for a new horn, I'd recommend saving your pennies to afford something better.

I love this trombone!!! It plays great, the slide works, and it is definitely in my opinion 100% comparable to other 1000 dollar trombones. But there are a few other things. The valve mechanism is a little loud, but it works, and the case is very fragile, while the instrument is very loose in the case. But other than that, it is a must buy!

I was really hoping this would be a good product and save me some money. Purchased for my grandson who is in Beginner's Band, at first he was very excited about the Trombone and then the complaints started flowing in. His #1 complaint was that the Slide was sticking and made the horn sound awful. I decided to take it to a repair shop to see if it fixable.Here is what they found wrong with the Trombone, 1. The Slide Brace was bent/cocked duirng the production process, 2. The Slide was really rough and was indeed sticking, and 3. The "F" Trigger was missing the screw that secures it to the trombone.Item was returned for a refund.

Bought this in late July for my son for band. He had played it one time a week for 4 weeks now and the slide fell apart. It’s completely rusted even though it had a ever been outdoors, cleaned properly, and slide oil was properly applied by a professional. It was stored in a special area that houses all the bands instruments that is climate controlled. Worse thing I’ve ever bought. Do not buy this. Amazon should be ashamed for being affiliated with such an awful product. Will cost more than the purchase price to fix!

This trombone is by far one of the best deals I have gotten on Amazon! The case is classy and sturdy! The inside has well made compartments for the trombone pieces and the trombone itself is beautiful! My son is very proud to carry this to and from school. I am not to sure about the sound quality because my son has never played before so his notes sound blah, But he said everyone’s trombone sounds like his Which I believe since this is the six grade and they’re all just starting. In either case this is an awesome trombone and the quality is definitely there. They even have the companies name engraved on the trombone which gives it that extra oooLala look! Great piece!
