Nordic Ware Spun Wok, 10-inch

We are a repeat buyer of this brand. The wok cooks evenly. Truly nonstick. Decent weight. Easy to clean. We love cooking with it.

Nice size. Only complaint is that barely a year later the non-stick finish was peeling on the cooking surface. I only ever washed with soap and dish rag and never used any metal utensils.

I don’t understand how people use it but I’ve used this wok for 2 years and it’s still as good as day one. I got it from Costco for $15.99 and it’s been on my gas stove every day. I don’t put the wok in dish washer or use dawn on it. Why? I use wok to stir fry, deep fry and just rinse it with mild soup and hot water.Updated: the wok finally got peeled and O ordered one from Amazon, after 2 usages, it peeled. Amazon insurance doesn’t work so I can’t file claim. Don’t buy it. I dropped the review to 1 star.

I’ve had a Nordic Ware wok previously that lasted 9 months of daily use with wooden or silicon utensils. Finally the coating started to chip, so I ordered a replacement. This one lasted a total of 10 days of daily use before the coating started to chip. All utensils are either wood or silicone, and it is hand washed after each use.

I was surprised to see so many negative reviews for the Nordic Ware wok. I have one I bought 10 or more years ago. I have used it nearly every day since. It is my go-to pan for almost everything. Fried eggs, heating up lunch, stir-fry, boiling, sauteing, etc. It is still non stick, no scratches, easy cleaning. It is so easy to clean that I sometimes only wipe it out with a paper towel and use it again. I swear by it.

After 2 uses cooking with a wooden spatula the coating came off. This is my 2nd purchase, thought of giving it another try after buying the first one from Costco which lasted a little longer. Stay away from this poor quality product!

My previous review gave this five stars because my wife loved it and it worked great...until it didn't. Edited review to one star because after five months of use I noticed the non-stick surface was bubbling, and when I scratched it lightly with my finger nail it flaked away.

We have used this wok twice since we purchased it. The Teflon coating is chipping off and therefore can no longer be used safely! Very disappointing! I thought NordicWare had higher quality standards….
