de-steams quickly, noise level acceptable
i hate noise but needed something powerful to remove steam quickly from a small studio bathroom before it steams up the whole bedroom and kitchen areas on either side -didn't want/need ultra quiet for the bathroom- so went with this 200CFM 2.0 sones- the noise is noticable but not too loud or rattly nor bothersome, and does exactly what we needed it to do, probably overkill for the small standard size bathroom but more importantly it seems to do the necessary. we paired it with a Hampton Bay 110CFM 1.0 sone in the kitchenette area and that one is pretty quiet in comparison with just a light hum. between both units (close together) we hope to stay steam and odor free in our small closed space. easy install replacing old fan. in a garage/outside setting would probably notice sound less, inside if you want ultra-quiet stick to 1 sone or less.

This really sucks. lol
This very good. A touch noisy but does the job, I was willing to accept the noise-power trade off.

Crazy quiet and powerful
Super powerful fan. The smells in our bathroom are terrible. it's in an office, and about 3 overweight people including myself feed our toilet several times a day, and the whole chi of the office was negatively effected by the smells that lingered for hours after the toilet feedings. But this fan completely solved the issue and outperformed our old fan. But I think our old fan was probably a good fan once, but we kinda killed its spirit when the 5 dollar boxes came out at Taco Bell. So we'll see how long we can abuse this fan before it goes all curt Cobain on us and we have to get another fan. Someday we'll learn and start eating better, but probably not

Excellent performance, quiet as can be. Difficult to install in finished construction.
I think This fan is designed for new installations. As in the ceilings are not yet installed and you have open spaces to access to the joists/trusses. Pros: 1. Very quiet! Not noticeable when running. 2. Very good price for the rated CFM. 3. Comes with 2 yr warranty if registered through the manufacturer. 4. Only uses 60 watts, basically an old incandescent lightbulb is equivalent to this beast. Cons: 1. Impossible to install main support bracket if you go in between the trusses. I cut my hole exactly to fit the overall width/length of the housing. The bracket can NOT be installed while pushing the unit through the hole. The feet stick out an additional inch from the housing. Your hole would have to be an inch bigger on either the width or length. Not wanting to patch it, I figured I could put them on in the attic... Nope! If you use the slots in the housing, where the brackets are to be installed, there is no room to install them. Even the smaller bracket does not clear the vent hole enough, so I had to trim the length. Very frustrating. 2. The instructions are very basic and as most things, the engineer does not have to install it. 3. The motor barely fits in the housing. It's a tight fit and any obstruction like a screw head or even the electrical housing tab can make it difficult to put it in. You must have attic access for this one. Even when you do, it is a hard install. If you don't have construction experience, God help you, because even after 15 yrs of it, this fan took me 3 hours to put in a finished ceiling.

Great fan. Removes steam with ease.
Great fan. Requires a little extra work to install because itโs a bit larger but totally worth it for its strength. Removes steam with ease. Very strong.

Performance
This fan was required to be used extract heat from my garage. It's installed in the ceiling with a 16 foot flexible duct to the soffit. Fan runs smoothly for the first half hour but after that it sounds like helicopter. It's like the bearing (if it has one) is all broken. The noise is so bad, I can't stay in the garage when it's running. What a waste of time and money. Please stay away from this fan unless you have money to throw away.
