Vanilla or Amber?
Its a really pleasant scent that in terms of scent profile leans more vanilla-like than amber however, it’s beautiful nonetheless. I particularly enjoy layering this with my perfumes add a sweet note or vanilla like base note to it. It serves me well and i definitely recommend it in that capacity. It also has decent (4-5hr) staying power, its worth noting though that’s not good lasting power for an oil at all. Oil perfumes usually last 2-3 times that long but at least this is compact enough to reapply on the go. I will say though that as a stand alone scent it’s very flat and one dimensional. Its a vanilla/amber from start to finish, there is no topnote, basenote, no development of notes whatsoever. Since theres nothing else to it, if you’re looking looking for to use this as THE perfume, i would say skip this one if you prefer more complexity to your perfume. I purchased it with the intention to use it to layer with other scents so i find it to be fantastic for the job!

Title of this item is African Amber but the bottle actually described as Egyptian Amber - either way it smells lovely. It's got the oud and amber that I love but it also has an earthy/woody undertone. Definitely unisex and I will be taking this with me as another holiday fragrance
