These binoculars are absolutely spectacular! They are startlingly sharp and bright, and give a strong sense of depth. One can look through them for long periods without eye strain. The only downsides are they are pretty heavy at about 2 pounds, (though the weight helps steady them), and they are enormously expensive to buy. For avid birders who want the very best I'd say they are a bargain.

While the product itself was phenomenal, after checking with Leica, zero warranty as the unit was originally shipped to Spain then reimported to America.

I love these for their clarity. I was bird watching in Belize, and it was totally amazing. I also checked out some night time sky and was able to see way more stars, like mind blowing.

Very nice optic. I just don't think its worth $2.7 grand. I didn't find it to be the ground-breaking glass they said it was. I compared it side by side with a Kowa Premier 8 x32 (a $1000 dollar bino) and I just did not see $1.7 grand of difference between the Leica and the Kowa.

I've been using 27 year old Leicas. They have really made improvements over the years. Fantastic product, especially for a bird watcher with middle age eyes on a dark day.
