These dishes look beautiful. The matte finish was just what I was looking for. I scrambled an egg in my bowl with a fork and it left scratches in the bottom of the bowl. So disappointing, especially for these being brand new. Not sure how the plates will hold up with knives.I bought 2 sets and was going to buy another 2 in the gray but don’t want them if it’s so easy to scratch them.

Seriously the bottoms of these scratch whatever you put them on. Yeah all your nice furniture is wrecked if you buy these. Thankfully I noticed this immediately and rather than send it back to Amazon I gave them a quick "wet sand" with 150 grit sand paper and in less time than it would take to authorize a return they were smooth as porcelain on the bottom and my surfaces are safe. For the first one I just burnished the bottom with the cardboard that they shipped in and that will work if you don't have any sandpaper but takes longer. So yeah these are pretty great, just not quite safe to use right out of the box. 4 stars for nearly perfect, 1 star knocked off for having to sand them myself.

I love the look. One thing is they don’t stack as perfect as I thought they would, meaning they arn’t perfectly shaped and wobble hence the 4 stars but really nice for the price. It’s also my fault, I saw the pictures people posted of the back but didn’t realize the edge of the bottom are raw and not glazed so they are rough. I hope they don’t scratch when I put a smaller plate on top of a bigger one. For my every day set they’re good enough without westelms price tag

This set is beautiful. It comes with 4 bowls, 4 mugs, 4 smaller salad plates and 4 larger plates. They are lightweight and make a amazing set. Great price especially for 16 piece set
