Honestly I was about to write a really bad review for this polish because it looked just silvery on my finger nail the first time I tried it. But then I tried my brush test that wastes no polish and lets you see whether a cat eye polish has any magnetic particles to make it a cat eye polish! I have been really surprised to find some well known cat eye gel polish producers that sell sets of cat eye polish that have over half of the polishes with no magnetic particles in them at all! So, I tried the brush test that you see in the video and suddenly I found out that the Makartt Rainbow Cat Eye Gel Polish works well. I just didn’t know before that experience how to get the look that they show in the photos. Please stay with me or fast forward 😂 to the very last 20 seconds of the video where you can see the many colors that are possible in this gel. Just a summary of pointers to help you: 1. I strongly suggest that you do the brush test shown in the video regardless of experience immediately upon receiving any cat eye polish. Because then if you find that the magnet doesn’t move magnetic particles, you can return the Polish because it is considered defective. The brush test is also good practice to help you figure out what the potential is for the beauty of your cat eye polish. 2. I find that when you are working with different colors of magnetic particles in one bottle, the best way to separate those particles into lines of color is to run the magnet along the right side (or left side) of the nail again and again using exactly the same movement. This lines the magnetic particles into specific colors. There was no leakage when I received this gel. I like the consistency. It is easy to use. You do need a UV Lamp to cure this gel but gels are So Awesome! When I used to wear acrylics, they would start chipping the 1st or second day! Now, my gels last a month! However, it is important to say that in order for gels to be durable and last a month, you need to do the gel prep of cleaning the nail, pushing back the cuticles (very important), using a nail file to run on the top of the nails to roughen them up, use a nail dehydrator (or rubbing alcohol works but it doesn’t work as well), put on a base coat and cure 1 minute. Put on this color coat, use your magnet, and cure. And then very, very importantly, put on your top coat and cure/dry using your UV Lamp. I think that this gel is well worth the money. It is important to tell you that this gel looks best IMHO with just one coat over a color. If you use more than 1 coat, the gel turns the background to more of a white color. If you are interested in getting more cat eye gels that have 2 or more different colored magnetic particles in one polish, then the only company that I know of (and I’ve tried just about all of them out there now) that has this kind, has them in a set for 34.99 but they are full sized bottle of 15ml each, 6 to a set, and the only set they have that is that way has planet in the name. I found out the hard way that many, many companies make it look like there are more that one magnetic colored particles in a gel, but the most they end up being is just one glittery background color with 1 color of magnetic particles. So, to me the fact that there are several magnetic color particles in this Makartt Cat Eye Gel makes it pretty special.

I love the beautiful designs you can do with the blooming gel! Its so fun and even more entertaining to watch the gel expland and the design start to take form. There is a sticky inhibition layer after curing but it's great of you apply top coat right after. No chipping or peeling, this has great durability. The amount of product will last for months of designs and a little goes a long way so its well worth the money

First time doing my own nails and first time using blooming gel! I absolutely loved the product!!! It was very easy to work with, I did bug nails!!!

The ad is misleading cause the glitter particles are TINY. Almost nonexistent unless you look up close and 5mm away from your eyeballs. I had to use 2-3 coats, or do a thick layer. I wouldn’t call it a jelly color— milky, if using one layer. But then it would look kinda patchy.

These nails are really good, we should try it.

I’m not great at doing cat eye, but I used the magnet it came with to push the particles to the tip of the nails. So much glitter, so much holo, so much fun! I think the effects would be more intensified with a black or dark colored base, but I like my nudes, and it still has a beautiful effect under the nudes. Love, love, love this topper! Pictures are how it looks indoors, and the video is how it looks in the sun.
