This clock has its idiosyncrasies. To light up the display in the dark, you can just tap the top surface. But sometimes, if you just sit up in bed, it will activate all by itself, and the readout is pretty bright! I love the fact that turning it off and on is a matter of turning it upside down (the numbers adjust automatically)--no buttons to fumble for. Setup isn't totally intuitive, and I didn't get any documentation, so there's a bit of a puzzle aspect to the clock, too. All in all, though, it's great, especially for travel: neat, light, accurate, with an alarm you can bear to listen to even as it wakes you up.

This clock is amazing. It is exactly what I was looking for. I would buy three more just to have as backups to sue the rest of my life. 1. The display turns COMPLETELY off until you touch it, or touch near it. It is very sensitive to motion to turn it on, so it is easy to brush an arm vaguely in its direction in the middle of the night and see what time it is. 2. When it is on, the display is not glaringly bright. It does not hurt your eyes when looking for the time in the middle of the night. 3. It is very obvious if your alarm is on or off. Aside from the clock being labeled on each side, if your alarm is off, it won't display an alarm time in the bottom right corner. 4. The battery lasts FOREVER. I think I've had it over a year now, and I've charged it maybe 3 times. I think because it only displays when you touch it, it does not use very much energy. 5. Its size and simplicity make it super easy to travel with. This clock has allowed me to replace my cell phone as my alarm. Getting my phone out of my bedroom has been a hugw improvement for my sleep hygiene. It is easier to get straight out of bed in the morning, rather than getting on my phone.

Works great but sometimes I’ll be too tired so I’ll give myself another 15 minutes but the alarm doesn’t go off. Only had it happen once or twice though. Other than that, no problems and great alarm

The sound detection feature and the snooze feature don't work very well. To snooze the alarm you can't just touch the alarm you will need to HIT it. It usually takes me like 3 or 4 attempts to snooze the alarm. The sound detection to wake up the digital display is also not very responsive. You will have to clap loudly to get it to wake up if you're using the alarm on battery mode. It's priced like a premium product but it doesn't function like a premium product.

In battery mode, this clock does NOT display time - you have to tap it for the display to come on. A clock that doesn't tell time unless you are physically touching it is basically useless for me (and yes, if you plug it in the display stays on, but then the problem is that the display is way too bright to have on a nightstand - also a fail from a user experience point of view).

Well made. Compact. Nice color. Great functionality. I am impressed.

There is a sound of a loose piece inside the clock. It may have to do with the gyroscope of some sort or it could be related to the sound detection mechanism. The unit does not stay on when running on battery mode. You have to always have it plugged in to see the clock always displayed. Otherwise, you either have to clap loudly or touch the unit.

The alarm worked well enough at first, but then the alarm just stopped charging. This is too expensive of a product to simply stop charging after a couple of months of use. I'm past the return period, so now it's just an expensive paper weight

Me gustaría que se pudiera elegir que se quedara encendida la pantalla aun sin estar enchufado, para ver la hora mientras estas en el baño preparándote o lo que sea. Entiendo que es por el ahorro de batería, pero debería dejarse elegir al consumidor. Por lo demás es genial.

Bought 2.. The other one stopped charging after 2mths+. So finger crossed for this one.

it's an easy-to-read screen and a super simple feature set in a great-designed housing. I just wish I could have non-USA formatted dates with both 24h and 12-time modes...
