Do they work with watercolor paint?

I am a watercolorist but, truthfully, I have not attempted to use these that way. They are plastic so water will not affect them. My experience has been that the watercolor would easily seep under the edges and spread. You could use a light pencil, or a very sharp watercolor pencil, and trace around the edges and then use water color to paint them.

Are these stencils adhesive, and can they work on curved surfaces?

The stencils are not adhesive. I used painters tape to tape them to the surface I was painting. The stencils are bendable and so could go around a curved surface.
