The box literally broke into four pieces before I got it out of the packaging. It was difficult to glue back together simply because the poor quality wood was so dry and porous. Construction of the case was also poor. The spyglass has a nice brass finish and is extremely powerful. If you wish to use it, it will take a bit of practice getting used to because it is so powerful.

I was very impressed with this, better than I expected, it looks good and acutaly works!

I bought this for a coworker who is a salty dog down to his core. He even lives on a sailboat. He absolutely adores this and uses it every day, to look at the mountain range across the Puget Sound.

It's Incredible and really work, not only for decoration.
