TribestGKD-450 Raw Tea Kettle, Glass Electric Brewing System, 110V, 9 x 6.75 x 11 inches, White

I had a Breville previously. I did like it. It beeped when temperature reached, which this one does not. That is my only complaint. The reason I switched was because the Breville was hard to clean and you couldn't see inside. This works perfectly for me.

I use this to heat water for my French Press Coffee in the morning. It is perfect for this. Much better than a water pot on stove. Also tried to make tea and it worked great for that too.

I researched electric kettles for way too long. Eventually purchased the kitchenaid pro but ended up returning it because the inside was plastic AND the water tasted plastic even after several cups of tea.Back to the descriptions and reviews and bought this Tribest kettle and am loving it!The interior of the kettle is glass so the water doesn't taste odd, while the outside is plastic so it stays cool for safety. The lid opens fully for easy fill. Press the "boil" button and a couple of minutes later, the water boils, beeps and turns itself off. At that point, you can press one of the other preset temps, 195, 175, 160 or 115 to warm the water to that temp for 6 hours. You can also use one of these presets instead of boil for coffee, black tea (although i use boil for that), green or white tea or raw foods (115 is also handy to activate yeast).The kettle also will turn itself off if it boils dry, another safety feature.I am super picky about appliances (well everything really) and there is nothing not to love about this electric kettle.Oh two things but not worth dropping stars for... it has a membrane and not actual buttons and it has a black cord on an otherwise clean-looking white appliance.

Totally broken in less than 10 months. Worked great , then all of a sudden. Light won’t come on and element won’t heat up

If you are looking for a new kettle which is modern, stylish, easy to handle, safe, helthy boiled water. . This kettle will do all u need. 👍Good bye my old plastic kettle. ＼(^o^)／

After 14 month stopped working, but I fixed it in 5 minutes. Problem was with one of the base contacts. It was locked at low position and cannot contact with the kettle contacts. I think it is a design flaw. The plastic contact holder in the base has too narrow opening and contact can get stack. The base can be open with couple of flat screwdrivers. I slightly twisted the contact to unlock it. Now it can freely move. The kettle now works. I hope it can help somebody and Tribest can improve it as well. Aside of this problem the kettle is nice.Update. Today, after less than one year of use it broke. I saw spark in the base during boiling water. I opened it again and found two relay terminals with dry solder joints. Looks like solder was melted and burned out. PCB was brown around one of the power connector. Looks like design of this kettle has few flaws and low quality. It can be dangerous and one day it can catch fire. I thoroughly soldered all power joints and tighter connectors. Now it works, but I don’t believe it will last long. April 2020 update:So far so good. Looks like no more issue. I like it more and more.

I love this kettle - I had fought with myself for years about getting an electric kettle. I'm glad our son talked me into it - this works well, looks spiffy, and is possibly the most-used item in my kitchen.

I bought this tea kettle twice in less than 3 years. The first one lasted two years which I thought it was not bad for a new small electric appliance these days. The last Tribest GKD-450 tea kettle was purchased in August of 2020. Very disappointed because I really like the design and how fast it boils water. I would not recommend this product.
