I do a summer camp for a week just before school. This year the theme was "spy training". These pens were the biggest hit of the entire week. Every pen worked. The light was excellent and believe me, they wrote with it every single day of the week. This was an overnight camp, so that was a considerable amount of writing and use of the light. I only needed a part of this pack, but I am sure they will be in stockings at Christmas too. Great gadget for the kids, and the price point was certainly reasonable for all the fun we had.

These pens write in multicolored invisible ink that only shows up when you flash the light (on the cap) on the writing.I gave them to one son who is reluctant to write/journal to make it more exciting. Its not a journal- its a top secret log!I gave a set to my other son who has a hard time reading long chapter books and highlighting the main idea. He loves the pens so much he turns off the lights, reads by flashlight and highlights with the spy pen.As a child psychologist, I use these pens at work to help ADHD kids do reading/writing assignments. It makes the activity more exciting & stimulating so it holds their attention and gets them over that motivation barrier to start homework.These pens are supercool and I wish I had them when I was a kid. They also make great party favors/rewards.

I got these for Christmas stocking stuffers for my grandkids...so of course I had to try them out! When you first write with the pen you can see the words a tiny bit (I was using ordinary white copy paper) which helps you see what you're writing, but that dries very quickly and completely disappears...until you press and hold the light button on a pen to reveal what was written! The writing only shows while the light is shining on it. I like the fact that the light can't be accidentally left on, wasting battery. I also like that you get two each of 6 colors of pen casing, so kids can keep track of their own pens. These seem to be of nice quality, and they shipped and arrived quickly. Also, the seller emailed me to see if I was pleased with the product -- very impressive customer service!

These are so cool! My grandson is gonna love decoding & writing secret invisible messages! And its a great value, couldnt believe how many pens for the price! However, very misleading that there are different colors (ie, pink, blue, yellow..) but its just the outside of the pen.. the ink is the same in all of them! Nonetheless, a really neat toy.

Works better than I thought. Colors are bright, ink lasts a long time, light works great. Got these for my 8 year old with a few other ad hoc spy toys. He loves these. Have been surprised at how long the ink in each pen have lasted, and the light has lasted even after the ink runs out. I was expecting it to be like those cheap dollar store invisible pens that lasts a day. But so far he's used it daily and it's still going strong. Might consider these for party favors on his next birthday.

Hello hello these pens I'm going to be telling you about these light up spy pens they make your arms can shine up you can write secrets messages on your arms You can write on anything they make your heart come true You can ride it on absolutely anything one time I wrote it on my mom's car and what time I wrote.

I got this in addition to a set of mini notebooks for my kids and a couple of their friend's as stocking stuffers. They loved being able to write secret notes only they could see. I loved that they don't stain or have weird residue or anything. They were a fun addition to a secret agent game, and they each feel special now being able to write notes only they can read. (Can be seen under any blacklight or tilting it a certain way under normal light.)

Originally I bought these as a fun way for my kids to practice their sight words. I would write a list of the words and they would have to use the light to read the words. This worked well. All the pens and attached lights in the pack worked. We had extras, so we sent some to some cousins, who also had fun with them.We just bought more packs to give out as Birthday Party treats along with mini note books and other assorted party favors. The kids (5-6 year olds of all genders) were all the most excited about these "invisible pens".It was nice to have a variety of colors. Only the exterior of the pen is a different color, they all write the same.We will be back for more at some point, I'm sure!

I’m not even sure how to rate this. The pens were all exactly as advertised, but all the colours yield the exact same result under black light. In other words, the colour of the physical pen is meaningless. They may as well all be black.
