Great design and functionality is wonderful.

I am a Direct Support Professional and have worked the graveyard shift in a 24/7 residential group home for 10 years, going on 11 this coming March. One of the things I have hated the most over the years is plastic pill grinders. On two separate occasions, they shattered in my hands while I was grinding medication. In everyday use, they also take forever to dry and have to sit in very specific positions on a drying rack before they are actually dry. When day, swing, and grave staff are supporting five people in a group home and administering medications multiple times a day, those pill crushers are an absolute nightmare. I finally had enough and ordered three different mortar and pestle sets, and this one took the cake. I absolutely love it. It is extremely sturdy, you do not have to chase pills around, and it crushes medication into a very fine powder. Even large and hard pills crush easily with this set. It is also very easy to clean and dries incredibly fast. If you wipe it with a paper towel, it is dry in seconds. This mortar and pestle is absolutely worth getting. I am seriously considering buying a second one.

This works perfectly for grinding pills. The handle's ergonomic design makes it easy to use and the non stick bottom keeps the bowl from slipping around on the counter. Highly recommend for anyone who needs to grind pills or spices into a fine powder. It does what it says and is the perfect tool!. It looks pretty sitting out on the kitchen counter, too!

I am still learning the best way to hold it to grind. It works better than using a hammer to crush pills. It’s good quality. Glad I bought it.

Beautiful! Wife loves it! She is becoming an herbal enthusiast in a big way and this set is an awesome addition to her growing accumulation of tools. Fit and finish is perfect. Aside from it's practical use, it is a work of art.

Very sturdy, good size for my needs, largely crushing spices for chai. The mushroom head of the pestle makes it really easy to grind with, gets everything crushed pretty quickly. I prefer crushing over the cutting of the spice grinder because it just releases more of the oil imo than if it’s just cut… I feel like I can taste a difference, but without someone to conduct experiments with, I cant know for sure. It’s fairly easy to clean and maintain. It is definitely not a light item, so if that’s a problem for you, spice grinder might be the better option. I’ve definitely spent more money on worse tools, so, if you’re wanting to crush and grind rather than cut, it’ll definitely do the job. I kind of wish I had one at my place and my dads place.
