About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words.Enabling your Phantom.How did you come up with the idea for this product?All three co-founders of DroneRafts love aerospace and new technology, so the drone market was an obvious place to start a new company. After brainstorming a variety of ideas we attended a major drone conference in Las Vegas and talked to as many people as we could. By the end of the conference, it was obvious that our skills lined up with an unmet need, and DroneRafts was born!What makes your product special?Waterstrider is the only engineered product that allows your existing Phantom to land on water and other difficult terrains. With a combined 50+ years in aerospace design between the co-founders, you can be assured that we sweat the little details. Makes your drone land on water.
I changed my review due to the great customer service of this company. The device works as advertised. It will allow for your Phantom to land on water and rocks. The flight characteristics of your drone will change dramatically. Get used to how it flies for a while before flying over water. I landed my phantom 4 on the open ocean many times with this installed and never had a problem.Installation is easy.

Flying pig
Makes the drone a flying pig. The Phantom 4 is a Ferrari. This turns it into a Buick.Any wind and the thing really rocks to the point that the gimbal won't stabilize it enough to use the footage. Also got a critical power warning which caused the drone to auto land. I'm glad it wasn't in the middle of a lake. The power computer just doesn't understand the extra power required to lift the thing. I had high hopes. Probably useable and does solve many problems, but the rocking in the wind is a problem that will limit its ability. .I'll give it another try and maybe find a day on a lake with no wind. (almost impossible) I have a project over a very deep lake and i need to have this thing work, and I'm sure it will make the drone float. We will just need to launch it from the water so if it decides to land on the water, we will be able to retrieve it.

With my own eyes l saw and believed!
What an amazing product! Every drone needs this! I was so amazed to see this with my own eyes how well it works, even landing on uneven rocks and mud. Waterstrider, you rock! Buy it today! You will not be disappointed.

Useless waste of money. Terrible customer service.
Most useless thing ever purchased. I never before took the time to write a negative review, but this product was so bad that it is necessary.Customer support was nonexistent. My Phantom 3 (which operates perfectly) became erratic and unstable with these legs mounted. Yeah... you can land on water just fine with these, but your drone becomes so unpredictable that it is nearly impossible doing anything else with it. Don’t waste your money.

Great product for water use.
I was an initial supporter on KickStarter. I have received my kit and it looks great. I have yet to try it out, but am confident that it will perform as described.

Do not purchase this product
This product makes your drone very un-sable during flight. It's instability during flight nearly cost me my fingers when trying to catch-land, and nearly destroyed my brand new Phantom 4. Highly dissatisfied with this product.
