HaywardRCX23002 Aquavac Tiger Shark Pool Cleaner Drive Belt

Belt install easy. Getting to the point of installing belt not so much. Lol. I don’t let hubby fix anything because he will just end up breaking it. So when our shark vac broke a track I knew I’d have to do it. Ordered 2 belts so I could change both. Getting the torx screws out were an experience. Space is tight. Screws in tight. But got them out. Figured out I needed to remove handle at this point. Got that off. Pulled side panel off carefully only for one of the roller things with bearings to fall off. Great. Finessed the bearing cap back on with a toothpick. Heated up the track in microwave for 45 seconds. Didn’t have patience at this point to boil anything. New track went on easily and then got the side panel snapped back on and repeat on the other side (except nothing fell off). Got handle back on and shark vac in pool snd away he went. Later I found a little black cap thingy on the floor. Rut roh. Have no idea where this went. Lol. Oh well.

Don't be scared off by the reviews. Having never opened a Tigershark prior, I installed both drive belts in about 15 minutes. It's 7 T-20 torx screws per side and 2 screws for the handle. Two tricks to note, one use a flexible drive bit extender to get the furthest screws. Second suggestion is regarding the snugness of the drive belt when reassembled. The first side went back on with minimal effort. The second side's belt was just a shade too tight and I was worried about damaging the unit by forcing it, so I heated the belt up with hot water from the tap for a few minutes and then tried again and it made all of the difference in the world. End result, start to finish 15 minutes and that's with letting the belt soak for a few minutes in hot water.

I found a youtube that showed how to replace these drive belts. They come rather stiff and hard to easily bend for insertion. The trick I found in the youtube is to soften them by soaking them briefly in very hot water (not too long) just before installation.Otherwise, these are exact replacements.

Didnt help my used bought pool vac get up the walls any better. But oh well you gotta sweep a little from the shallow end to the deep end where it hangs out. First world problems. They went on without too much effort. Ok thats a lie; it was a hassle and i am very diy oriented. Taking the side panels off the machine will scrape your knuckles, putting them back on will scrape your knuckles, and they go on very tight. Was a quick less than 15 minute pain in the rear job.

I took my Hayward Shark Vac apart ( it's just a couple screws on the front and the tires) and replaced the belt. Just be sure you have the belt placed correctly on rollers. Refer to the manual online if you have lost your book that came with your robot for the correct placement. If the belt is not placed correctly on the rollers it will not work. It's a tough squeeze but once it's on it's not going anywhere. This is much cheaper than getting the pool guys to fix it. They also wanted to charge double the cost of the belt at their store.Do it yourself!

The belt drive on my Hayward pool cleaner broke and I replaced it with this one. The replacement was a challenge as there were multiple parts to disassemble/reassemble. Probably not a project for the faint of heart or inexperienced do-it-yourselfer.

Perfect fit. Cleaner works like new.

Saved me a repair job and able to fix the vacuum myself.

Excellente pièce détachée pour mon robot, conforme à l’origine et qualitative.Il faudra juste être vigilant au moment du montage car il faut bien l’aligner et la passer dans sa trajectoire.Certaines vis sont difficile à dévisser mais c’est un autre problème.Satisfait.
