It feels very nice.
I usually use the Monks' cloth with lines. I thought I'd try this for a change. I haven't used it yet, but I'm sure it will be fine.

It’ll do the job, but it is thin and the weave is super loose. It does not catch the the yarn well. If you want a better result, get better monk cloth.

Worth your money
I got this to go with a secret Santa gift for a crafts person. They are really into punch needling. I took a look at the fabric and thought it was high quality I asked her and she confirmed that it did seem like high quality. Also the fabric is not too loose or spaced. So doesn’t seem like it would create giant holes with thicker needles. like other pieces of monks fabric. I definitely recommend.
