Very nice go to for practicing or coloring. Nice pigments with a wonderful selection of colors. They are not too waxy, nor too hard either. I will definitely buy again. Feel good in your hand too & I had no problem with layering or using them to blend. They feel good in your hand & fit in my sharpener. The price is amazing & I am surprised they are not more expensive. Very good quality. (I haven't even touched my more expensive pencils.) No broken leads either.

When I first started coloring, I bought the standard set of Castle Arts pencils (not the Gold Standard pencils), but found them difficult to work with- I thought they were scratchy, hard to blend, and difficult to lay down color. I read some reviews, and tried out some other pencils. Fast forward two years, and I've amassed quite a collection of pencils that I love. Recently, I'd heard good things about the Gold Standard pencils, and decided to give the Castle Arts another try. I've been very pleasantly surprised! The color range is fantastic, and they are a nice "in between" pencil. The color lays down easily, and they have a slightly creamy texture that blends well (similar to a prismacolor) but they keep a sharper point and don't crumble/break easily or give off a lot of dust (more like a poly), which makes them great for smaller detail work. They also mix well with the Castle Arts pastel pencils (which I also highly recommend) and that allows for a wider range of light colors/highlights. The only downside is that they don't erase as well as some others-but that seems a small tradeoff for a nice basic pencil that I can (and do) use often. I can recommend these are a good set for beginners, as well as a great addition for someone more advanced.

Not only is this a great set with Fantastic colors but the customer service from castle arts is great! Of the whole set only two pencils had significant issues and when it comes to goor cores in colored pencils that's bound to happen from time to time. The colors are fantastic and I look forward to buying supplies from them again!

They do still break quite a bit. They have good selection of colors. They are smooth to color with, but I do find it a tad difficult to shade with them. Some of the colors, notably oranges and yellows don’t seem to be blended enough (?) because occasionally red will suddenly appear mid-color.

These pencils are able to provide professional results. They are butter smooth and colors lay down well. This set has a good range of light, dark and midtones. They sharpen to a long sharp point without breakage. I've owned Carne D"ache Luminance and was terrify to use them because of their expense. These give great results without the guilt.

Bought these as replacement from wax based from same brand, and wanted to upgrade and just needed new pencils. Tried Pr********* and they were way too soft and used up FAST. These are a DREAM come true!! Beautiful colors, easy blending, and don’t sharpen away to nothing as they’re used. ( harder than wax pencils even though they are oil based). No, REALLY!! Would HIGHLY recommend as a great first set, and you won’t ever need anything else!! No individual pencil replacements, . Quality is wonderful!

Like these a lot. Have a nice and smooth stride. Great oil based pencil. Do not have to use a lot of push down pressure to get desired coverage and color. The colors of this pack remind me of subtle earth tones. They are nice variety and the colors all scheme together.

My wife has a lot of the other Castle Arts sets and really wanted this one because they stay sharp longer since they aren't as soft which helps when adding a lot of detail. Castle is a good quality brand while staying affordable compared to Prismacolor. My wife was really excited about the color selection as well since she has the big set of the other Castle pencils and the colors aren't identical.

This is a decent mid range colored pencil set it's like a mix between prismacolors and polychromos and crayola, not as good as polychromos obviously the price goes with it, if you're just looking for something that does not need to be lightfast but has better color pigment than crayola this is a good choice, some colors are very similar to others and some have different color tip than on paper but it's just a few of them and you get a test sheet to test all the colors so you can refer to it, but again this is not a high end pencil so this is to be expected, but if you are on a budget i would recommend, i already have polychromos but it gets expensive and drawing is my hobby so i will stick to those for more basic needs like coloring books or less detailed drawings that i will not keep displayed on the walls since these are not lightfast

Güzel paketlenmisti hiç sorunsuz teslimat yapıldı boya kalitesinden memnun kaldım daha önce manomi seti kullanıyordum onuda sevdim fakat bu set daha çeşitli tonlara sahip olması nedenli tercih ettim. hobi amacıyla aldığımdan ihtiyacımı karşılar diye düşünüyorum 56 metalik 48 adet pastel tonu mevcut ve çok guzeller kalitesinden çok şüphe ettim ama İyiki tercih etmişim.Ufak bir kusuru mevcut 115 no.lu kalem yok yerine farklı renkten 2 adet konmuş.

Gostei muito deles. Fácil de apontar no apontador de manivela, não quebrei nenhuma ponta. O lápis é macio sem mole. Achei a consistência ideal. Vou aproveitar muito.

Me ha gustado la suavidad de los lápices y los bonitos colores. Se pueden mezclar en general bien. Por ahora no los he usado pero he hecho la carta de los colores. Es excelente elección para que les gusta dibujar con estilo hiper realístico porque hay colores cercanos. Muy buena relación calidad/precio, aun mas si estén de oferta. La presentación(la caja) es muy bonita. Además dentro esta la lista de todos colores existentes y explicación de diferentes técnicas de dibujo, es un gran plus para la marca! Inconveniente : es un poco gasto del tiempo para hacer la carta de los colores porque los números de los lápices no están en el mismo orden como en la caja pero esto no es tan importante.
