Great value based on quality and price!!!
The material is as described "heavy weight". Almost, not quite, but almost as "heavy weight" as the Carhartt Men's Workwear Pocket Long Sleeve Henley Shirt sold on Amazon. However the Dickies is 100% cotton while the Carhartt is a 60/40 blend. Another comparison - Dickies is noticeably thinker or heavier than Hanes or Fruit of the Loom. I own all of the above.Size wise - the large on the Dickies fits like the medium of the Carhartt; Carhartt always runs larger. The Dickies is true to size. The complaints about the length of the sleeve in the reviews is somewhat legitimate. After receiving the item I washed it in warm water and dried thoroughly in the dryer, then checked for the shrinkage and the sleeve does shrink a little, but it is only noticeable when you move your arm left or right - which you do. I was able to resolve this by simply grabbing cuff and the shoulder and giving a couple of stretches (w/out ripping) on each arm before putting on the shirt - good to go.Great value because of the quality and the price.

You can't go wrong with Dickies.
I like wearing Henleys because they are casual enough to wear to bum-around and even sleep in, but a step-up from the plain white t-shirt so you look dressed up enough to go somewhere and not look excessively too casual. The Dickies brand means quality, and this heavyweight henley s great. I like the comfort of the shirt, and the look is clean and the shirt is well made for the type of shirt. It has 3 buttons on the upper-front that can be un-buttoned as needed. The chest pocket also makes the shirt look more away from a t-shirt. Buying a Dickies shirt, I know that it will last and it looks good. The logo is on the chest pocket, so anyone else seeing you in the shirt knows it is a quality shirt as well and not generic no-name brand. The heavyweight is nice which provides a little more warmth in general than a regular thickness or thin t-shirt. It is 100% Cotton, and it is a tagless shirt. It has good stitching. It is not a dress shirt or for more formal events. It is basically a heavyweight t-shirt with a 3-button Henley front and a chest pocket. You can't go wrong with Dickies.

This shirt will shrink a LOT!
This shirt shrank quite a bit in the wash. When I received the shirt it fit great. Shirt is well made. The material is dense and the stitching is complete and thorough. Even the buttons are stitched well. But the arms shrank about 4 inches after the first wash and dry. A real disappointment and totally unnecessary if Dickies would just pre-shrink the material. I'll have to give it to my nephew now. What a shame. Don't think I'll purchase again even though I suppose I could buy larger. I've bought other manufacturer shirts of this type that are just as well made and don't shrink.

Smaller than it should be
Just bought the shirt and am wearing for the first time. I am 6’ 1”, 210 lbs. and the x-large fits well through the body but any smaller and it would be a bit tight. I prefer my cloths to be a bit loose and this is just a bit smaller than a typical x-large. But what I really don’t like is the sleeves are short. They should be AT LEAST 1” longer, maybe 2”. I do not like my sleeves riding up my arms when I move around and this happened with this shirt. I may or may not get rid of it soon, but it will never be a favorite, comfortable shirt.

Nice Adequate Henley
I really like this type of garment, having purchased several from another manufacturer a couple of years ago. Those garments are size XL and still fit very well. This time I purchased XXL to allow for shrinking from washing and drying. They fit almost exactly the same as the XL shirts from the other manufacturer EXCEPT the sleeves on these Dickies are too short. I can live with this since I believe in order to get a size with sleeves long enough the rest of the shirt would be too large. So, the takeaway is that these generally fit smaller than the indicated size and the sleeves are too short.

Great, heavy cotton, especially for the price.
I wear these long sleeve henleys instead of tees for forearm sun protection. I purchased them in black, desert sand, and black olive. These three colors are nice. Yes, the cotton is heavy. If it were any heavier these would be uncomfortable in summer -- too hot.At first the elastic wrist cuffs are uncomfortably tight, even on my thin wrists, but they loosen-up soon enough.I have other henleys that are thinner and a nicer cut, tapered better to look more stylish but for the price these cannot be beat.

Hope you are short
Wow these are short. I buy the regular Dickies shirts because they are longer then most other shirt brands. Those fit long enough so I assumed these would as well but they do not. These where way too short. I would say they are at least two inches shorter then the other Dickies shirts I have in the same size. They come to about an inch past my belly. It makes them just slightly too short to wear. And the sleeves are crazy short. If I hold my arms out forward the sleeves barely come past the middle of my forearm.

A good alternative to the more expensive Carhartt henley
I've been wearing Carhartt Carhartt Men's Long Sleeve Workwear Henley Shirt for years and decided to try the Dickies because it has a little less "In-Your-Face" logo on the pocket and is less expensive. The Dickies shirt is well made and fits as expected for a work, or active casual, shirt. My criteria for such a garment is that it be longer than usual to avoid it coming untucked when the wearer is bending over, etc. and roomy enough to avoid binding at the arms and shoulders during activity. Carhartt wins out against Dickies in this category with a little more length and roominess, although the Dickies is still satisfactory - at least when new. I'm a little concerned that it will get too tight after a few washes because it's design is not quite as ample as the Carhartt. The Dickies does appear to be of very good quality, and I do appreciate the slightly more discrete logo and the pen slot sewed into the pocket.

Fifty-Fifty, good fit, poor quality control
I like the cut of its jib.One thing I did not enjoy so much was one of the buttons falling off after putting it on for the first time. Shoddy thread-work on the button, I hope the seams last a lot longer.I will have to repair this item and it's not been half a day.

Impressed.
I was impressed how well this shirt fit - I’ve bought a couple of their shirts off amazon and else where recently and I’m a huge fan.
