I love this knife. I've prepared pretty much every meal for the last 8months with it. The sharpener/honer works well and puts the edge back to rights with pretty much no effort. I've touched it up on some 6000grit water stones a couple of times to get it back to popping hairs but the maintenance has been very minimal to do all my cooking.Handles all my peppers, vegetable processing, and meats no problem including some pretty tough caribou leg. Weight and balance are pretty much correct, this is a fine knife, it'll do most of what you need a knife to do along side a paring knife.

Absolutely fabulous knife, comes really sharp and mirror polished. It retains edge better than my Mercer culinary knives and is more manageable. Feels like a fillet knife but cuts like a chef's, and does both purposes very smooth. If you need a good knife that doesn't break the bank, this is the knife for you! Great product, easy to clean, beautiful handle, great price. The included sharpener made me feel secure in my purchase because I know that if I ever feel it is beginning to dull, I can bring it back to life with this included tool! I'll be buying this for my mother in-laws birthday next month, she has never had a proper knife. Oh, also, this knife slides through spaghetti squash and sweet potatoes with ease! Love it.

There is a hefty finger guard that protects your hand and keeps the knife from snagging on drying cloths. The blade holds an edge and the build seems durable. I have had it for two years and would buy it again; however, I don't think I will need another as this one will probably outlive me! A great chef's knife comparable to German knives costing much more.

It's great for cutting but what I enjoyed the most was the blade size and shape for chopping, simply great.The presentation was incredible, nice box, it included a protector for the tip and the sharpening tool. Very nice and complete.The service was also great, they wrote me to check on the product's performance as soon as I got it.Great product, great service.Why not a five? The finishing of the handlé didn't look so nice although I want to stress on the fact the design is very good.It would make a great gift

This is a decent chef's nice. Its sharp and has a nice weight to it. Its not your top tier chefs knife but if you need something that is well made and not pricey, this is a great option. Im very happy with this purchase. Id definitely reccomend it if you need a good quality knife that doesnt hurt your pocket.

I have been using this knife for a year and a half now to chop vegetables. It has been a good knife. This morning the handle broke off from the knife as I was cutting vegetables. I guess washing it in the dishwasher caused the handle to crack and inside the handle was all rusty. Called Amazon and they are not willing to help me even though it says 100% lifetime guaranteed.

I mean the trouble to place an order and wait for delivery just does not justify wasting the greens online even if you don't much care how often you'll have to resharpen the knife.If you're looking for a hardened steel chef knife, this ain't it. But then, also, a hardened steel chef knife costs three times as much as this one. Looking for an economic kitchen all purpose knife, then by all means, buy this one, or even buy it at your local supermarket, at least you'd be comparing types similar and selecting one that suites your taste. In the supsrmarket, however, if you break it, you'll be the proud owner of two halves of a cheap knife, whereas here, on Amazon, you'd be a lot happier in an unexpected cathastrophic failure.This is Not, repeat, Not a high carbon chrome steel blade that you might expect in a Henckels or a Wusthoff. Rather, it is a run of the mill all purpose all stainless high nickle steel blade designed chiefly to resist rust, since rust is the most annoying sight a household kitchen member encounters. But this knife will not serve as a hardened steel service blade. Not this one or any knife in its price category and class. For that, you'd need to spend a lot more money.But for sixteen bucks delivered to your kitchen, hey, get a knife sharpner and work it every weak or so.**
