Just what I expected
Nice teal color, solid (metal?) body, feels good in your hand. I like that it’s not round but rather oval, so it doesn’t roll off the counter. The dual arc is so much better than a single one I have on another lighter.I use it mostly for incense sticks, cones are harder to light up, but still possible.I wish the design was better, for example a metal slider and button would look and feel better than the current black plastic one. And had more colors. But otherwise I’m really happy with it and would recommend if you’re looking for a dual arc electric no goose neck lighter.

Terrible battery life.
I was hoping to reduce plastic waste by getting this thing but it doesn't last anywhere near as long as even a Bic lighter. Not sure I'd even trust it to last through a 4th of July.

Best electric candle lighter I’ve owned, but there’s a few things to consider.
Overall, this is a great candle lighter. The best electric one I’ve owned. My only complaint is that the button to ignite the lighter (which must be held down to stay on) is 3 1/2 inches from the top. That makes it more difficult to light candles that are deeper inside thinner glass holders. Such as the typical prayer candle. It’s a shame because the lighter is plenty long at just under 8-inches, which should allow for a far reach, but because the button is closer to the center it means you can only fit about 4-inches inside. Unless you get creative by flattening your finger against the lighter and squeezing both into the glass, but that’s awkward and people with larger fingers will have a more difficult time. I wish they designed it so the button was closer to the top. That said, most candles don’t have this problem. For instance, Yankee candles have a wider glass holder that offers more room for both lighter and hand/finger. Plus 4" reaches in pretty far as it is. So, it really only affects thin and tall glass candles.Another thing to consider is that this does not have a child safety feature. While the lighter does use a slide cover that blocks the button from being pressed, the cover easily slides open and has little resistance. This works well for accidental button presses, but it doesn’t lock children out. Personally, I dislike child safety locks because they make it difficult—sometimes painful—to operate, so this doesn’t negatively affect my rating. But I bring this up because it could be a concern for parents with smaller children.I love that this charges with the newer USB-C technology. I feel cheated when I get an electronic device that still uses Micro USB. This product comes with a charging cable, but it doesn’t include a wall charger. So keep that in mind.In comparison to my other electric candle lighter, I like this one better. The main reason is due to the electric arch. My other one only ignites between two terminals, whereas this TRONIC MASTER has 4. As such, it forms an X-shape that lights a wick quicker and easier. Less of a need to get the igniter in an exact location since it covers a wider area.

It's well-made, versatile, works well, and only costs $16.
My first plasma lighter and I like it.SPECIFICATIONSLength: 7.69” (19.53 cm)Reach: 4.5” (11.43 cm)Width: 0.56” (1.42 cm)Weight: 1.8 ozCable: USB-C; 18.75” (47.63 cm) usable length;Color: Teal;Material: Aluminum;Power supply: 220 mAh USB rechargeable batteryDual arc tip retractable tip;NOTE: The arc is created between two electrodes; dual arc creates two crossed arcs across four electrodes;Automatic shutoff after 7 seconds;Windproof, odorless, uses neither fuel nor flints;Warranty: six months.USESThis plasma lighter will ignite most anything a match or lighter will – all without a flame.OBJECTIVEI have lit incense sticks/cones, kindling paper, gas stove, candles, and pilot lights for gas-fired water heaters. I have also lit my barbeque grill whose piezo ignition works when it wants, not when I want. Obviously, with a 4.5” (11.43 cm) reach, the lighter is especially handy for glass-enclosed/votive candles and, in my case, lighting pilot lights through small openings in gas-fired water heaters. This lighter is, indeed, windproof, especially when I am trying to light my grill on breezy days.SUBJECTIVEIt nice to not have to fool with fuel, flints, disposable lighters, and inadequate reach (I have been using spaghetti to reach far-away wicks and pilot lights; it works). That this lighter is windproof should be a treat for smokers, although the standard Zippo does a fairly good job. I noticed that Zippo makes a plasma insert for their standard lighter cases – a good option for a pocket lighter (with two-year warranty). This is the first plasma lighter that I have used so I am unable to make comparisons. An outstanding question is how many charges can the battery take and how many lights per charge. The manufacturer/seller of this lighter does not say and web search returns, “it depends,” i.e., claims are all over the place. Time will tell. Nevertheless, for my uses, this lighter works well, and I recommend it unequivocally.REVIEWS“I was hoping to reduce plastic waste.” By buying this lighter!? “[I]t doesn't last anywhere near as long as even a Bic lighter. Not sure I'd even trust it to last through a 4th of July.” This lighter first hit Amazon on December 31, 2021. This review is dated January 20, 2022: what has one been lighting for 22 days such that the lighter is depleted. Does it just need a charge? Charge it, along with all the other gizmos that people charge every day. I wonder about the authenticity of this review.“Not the greatest for candles . . . My candle was brand new, and it took 2-3 seconds for the wick to catch fire.” And yet we have a video of another reviewer instantly lighting a candle. Oh, and 2-3 seconds is a lifetime! And what, one needs a nap to recover? Really?“The instructions for this lighter say to keep the electric charge from touching the wick of the candle. The tip of this lighter is so small compared to my other lighter, there is virtually no way to keep it from touching and actually light the candle.” Per the instructions, if the tip becomes contaminated, CLEAN IT!“The instructions also say that the battery will discharge when not in use and should be recharged every three months. This is bit inconvenient if you only need use it on a rare occasion.” Good grief, almost every day I charge my cell phone, iPad, smart watch, any number of remote batteries, and camera and camcorder batteries. And what, I am inconvenienced by having to charge a lighter battery that takes one hour?“Comes with a short charging cable (about one foot long).” It is actually 18.75” (47.63 cm). Too short? Have any longer USB-C cables laying about – like the rest of us do?“The major downside here is it cannot be used while charging. think [sic] about that a hot second. When the battery is all worn out in a few months or a year that's the end. Why do such a thing?” Well, one reviewer said to reduce plastic waste. Cannot be used while charging? Charge it, then use it? Duh . . .. Yes, when the Li-ion battery is “worn out," that’s the end. On amazon, ten Bic lighters cost $10.58: do they last a year? This lighter costs $16 and unlike a Bic, the wind will not blow it out; unlike a Bic, it is more versatile – and it’s prettier, so there.”In my humble opinion (OK, not so humble), some of these comments say more about the reviewers than the product. As I said, this lighter works well, and I recommend it unequivocally.
