French ToastBoys' Expandable Collar Button Down Dress Shirt with Long Sleeves (Standard & Husky)

Great shirt. Fits just right for my little boy who just turned eight (he is average 8 year old build). I ordered size 8 and this will definitely last the year. French Toast makes the best boys' dress shirts. The cost is extraordinary, and the material is excellent. I always fought my wife to buy a better quality white shirt for our son, since the ones we always bought at Old Navy, Carter's, Osh Kosh, etc are all made of cotton (very wrinkly, especially around buttons and the collar) and are of extremely low quality, with the fabrics all appearing off-white and dull. These French Toast shirts are much closer to what you would expect from a non-iron dress shirt for an adult; not the most comfortably soft fabric, but very lightweight and extremely wrinkle resistant and bright white fabric that is easy to clean.I also greatly appreciate the fit of these shirts. They fit my taller than-average son very well.

If you’ve been looking for a great blue button up that won’t break the bank, this is it! I’m 98 lbs, 5’ (34B) and the size 14 is perfect - fitted, but no gaping buttons and not too long. It launders nicely; I usually touch it up with a steamer, but it’s not totally necessary. I wear this with black dress pants and ecru jeans/shorts. It also looks great thrown over a white or black tank and worn open as a light summer layer.

For years I bought Gap's no-iron shirts for my boys. Then I discovered French Toast and I love these shirts more! And they're a heck of a lot cheaper too!! They are more wrinkle free than Gap's. If I can help it, I pull their shirts right out of the dryer and onto a hanger to minimize wrinkles. Sometimes I forget, and these shirts still come out beautifully. Gap's shirts don't. These fit true to size in my experience. I love that the collar isn't button-down, which, in my opinion makes them seem dressier and nicer. I love these shirts and won't ever go back to anything else!

Excellent quality for the price. Ordered a size 6 for my 4 year old son, who is on the tall/skinny side for his age. He is just outgrowing size 4T, and comfortably wearing size 5. I ordered this shirt in a 6. It fits, with room to grow. It's long, but fine once tucked in. A 5 would probably fit better, but the 6 allows for shrinkage, and I'm hoping to get about a year of weekly wear out of this. I was afraid he'd outgrow the 5 too soon. The material is a nice soft, lightweight poplin feel. Seems well made.

I am required to wear white button down dress shirts for work, and have literally tried every white dress shirt known to mankind. These shirts, although in boys sizes, are perfect for me. Mens sizes tend to be too long in the sleeves & body & too large in the neck & womens sizes oftentimes don’t have the breast pocket (which I need) and most of them have buttons on the collar (which I can’t have). These shirts are everything I need & are inexpensive, which is crucial because I go through a lot of them!!!

I got a size 14 white French Toast shirt for a kid who is 4'11" and 115 lbs, and usually wears a 12. It fits him perfectly, but so does a black Children's Place shirt I got him at the same time in a size 10-12 Husky, so I'm showing picks of the comparison here. In the pic of the sleeves, my finger is at the shoulder seam. They're exactly the same length. In the 3rd pic, it's hard to tell because you can't see the white shirt under it, but the overall shirt length is also exactly the same. In the last pic I tried to show the shoulder width, but it's hard to see...that's the only thing that's different. The French Toast is maybe 0.75" wider.The FT shirt will definitely need an undershirt because its pretty thin.Hope this helps!

No flaws with this shirt. The material is nice, not too thin or thick. No loose strings. I ordered the 4t & it fits true to size. Very pleased.

Mi hijo tiene 4 años está casi cumpliendo 5 y pedí esa talla 5, le quedo muy bien un poquito grande de los hombros pero es casi nada, mi hijo es delgado y de una estatura promedio y le quedo perfecto!!
