Good but not great
Bracelet loom is fabulous with the integrated storage and lid to close everything up easily. My only issue is that the prongs don’t hold the thread taught enough creating a good but kind of sloppy bracelet. I’m going to try it a few more times (I am supplying my own thread) to try and get the hang of this specific loom, but will probably return if the bracelets continue to turn out sub par.

directions easy to follow for upper elementary child
My 12 year old son received this as a Christmas gift. He was able to quickly figure out how to make the bracelet on his own, following the provided directions. There's a nice variety of threads, and you can use the same color for different bracelets. My son says the gift would probably be better for girls because the colors are ones that they would more often use, but it depends on personal preferences. He also decided it's not an activity that he would do that often, but that he will do again.

Good but not great
I ordered this as a fun little craft that I could do while watching TV or travel. I love the way it is self contained and easy to close up and take with me places. I also really like the variety of patterns that are available to make. The little cards are made well & easy to read. It came with a fun variety of colors of thread that is fun to try new designs with. The tread is not top quality and I don’t know if they will bleed or fade over time, but it works fine for learning & experimenting. I am anxious to try a higher quality of thread to see if I like the results better.I am pretty “crafty” and learn new things fairly easily. With this set…not so much. The instructions were difficult to follow and when I thought The QR code would take me to a video, it only provided pictures. I have figured it out, but it would be very challenging for a child or a beginner.I also find it hard to get what I would call a tight weave. Perhaps a thicker thread would help? At first, I found it to be a little bit “fumbled”. It is a lap top activity. You can’t work it on a table because you pull the bracelet through the center. But it becomes more comfortable after the more you use it.Over all, I like it and do enjoy the process. I do hope with more practice and better thread I will be pleased with the resulting bracket. At this time, I find my bracelets to be too loose-woven. Perhaps practice will make improvements.

Friendship bracelet maker good and bad
I got this for my wife, this is her review: I originally got this because I had a lot of embroidery thread and just for fun I wanted to try to make friendship bracelets. Doing them the traditional way is a little harder in that you need something to hold all the thread down and you can just tape it, but I thought this would be easier. This is a nice kit. The box is about a CD size container and it has a handle and a little storage underneath. It is a nice loom type item. It comes with cards that are of good card stock quality and have different designs on the front and back. It is nice because you can do different patterns which you would have to research online to find all of these different patterns. The kit comes with everything you need to get started. I think a smaller child would need some direction in the beginning to get it started. You do have to set it up and once you get going it's just a three step or so kind of process, but I think a teenager could probably do it fine and figure it out but a smaller child would need help getting started. There are a couple of things I don't like about this. One is that each "pre-cut" thread is one piece of thread. So you need about nine of the packages of thread to get your bracelet. The biggest thing for me, is that it doesn't make your typical looking friendship bracelet. It isn't wide but tubular. The pictures in the description do show this, but I didn't notice it initially.

Young Girl Fun Project
We got this kit for our young niece (7-year-old) because she is now becoming more fashion aware, and wants to exercise her judgment with clothing, minor make-up applications and jewerly choices that are appropriate for her age.The kit allows for many options to choose from to complete some creative designs, and the contraption they provide for helping piece everything together, is the difference-maker, compared with other kits we looked at. She is able to do the braid work without assistance, and the end results are very nice, with a big boost to her confidence for being able to complete a project from start-to-finish on her own.We are very happy with this kit, and would highly recommend it for pre-teen girls, especially. The braiding tool included is the biggest plus in this particular kit. Other kits have similar pieces in them, but this one stands out for younger finger dexterity. We would recommend this kit to others!

Neat Final Project. A Challenge To Make
I think the final product is far more comfortable than the traditional flat bracelets. Kit comes complete with everything you need. Love the different pattern discs. Highly recommend starting off with a simpler pattern for younger children, or first timers. The challenge is definitely in the creation. Have used products from this company before with success. Your younger children will definitely need some assistance to get it going. Patience and calm. Entering this project in the right mindset is the difference between and enjoyable experience, and begrudging frustration and failure.Once you get the first few passes down, the patterns become more predictable and progress moves along. Not something you can do and actively watch the television. But if you like to watch movies for the 200th time while focusing on a craft, this could be perfect.
