DiMarzio The Chopper T & Twang King pickup set for Telecaster, Black & Gold

Bought these for my squire telecaster and can’t say enough about how great they sound. I bought them and the obsidian solderless kit with a 4 way switch and did the whole upgrade all at once. It gives a lot of great options to this guitar and everything sounds amazing.

I have had installed only the Chopper T with a push-pull switch and a 250 cap.because my neck pick up is a Slider / Australia / made one. Slider pick ups are one of the best traditional Fender pick ups , I believe that anyway. The Chopper T /as it was told by others and Mr Richie Kotzen as well / has a thicker and deeper sound than the original Slider or the factory made Fender had. The Chopper T has a medium humbucker output still with plenty of clarity and the extra option to switch between single coil and humbucker. Probably not the choice of country players but I'm a big fan of Richie Kotzen so it works for me if I try to play rock. Being a bedroom guitarist where I have to keep the volume reasonably down I use an OMG drive and Sansamp GT2 plus the Chopper T. With this set up even on a low volume I still can get a fat sound almost like on records.
