Petzl - TACTIKKA + Headlamp, 250 lumens, Ultra-Compact Headlamp, Camo

This headlamp does what I need it to do. It is dim when I am talking to someone or working up close. I can switch it to high for when I am walking and need to see further out. The different positions that you can set the light at makes it easier to see different things close and far with just the movement of your head. The headlamp is light weight and does not slip off my head like other lamps due. The battery has lasted me so far since I purchased the headlamp using it on high, low and in red. The red is nice because the bugs stay clear and you can still see what you are doing. I think for a headlamp you need at least a 250 lumen or better that can go to low and as I said the 4-5 different positions you can set it at, is better than the one I had been using that only went into three positions. The button to change the light is easy to use as well as the strap. I do recommend this headlamp and I will be buying at least two or three more for my truck, care, and a spare. I need to buy the rechargeable battery to see if there is a difference in time to recharge to switching batteries. So far no loss in power in the last two weeks. I use it at night every night for about 30 minutes walking the dogs switching from high to low and to red. So far I do recommend PETZL-TACTIKKA 250 LUMENS HEADLAMP.

This is my third Petzl Tactikka headlamp. I'm working out of two locations so I needed another!The switch has three white settings and two red settings.WHITE:1. Moderate light, suitable for reading a book or other hand work that's not too detailed. This setting is also kind to your companions.2. Bright, which is suitable for working with tools in a dark corner, or walking outside on ground that might be a little rough.3. Brilliant. The extra reach at this setting would be ideal for running or biking, where you're moving fast, or to see at a distance.RED:1. Steady. This is my preferred setting for walking a dog at night. Highlights eyeballs of nearby animals, such as a fox, cat, or my dog when loose.2. Blinking. Suitable for an emergency. If worn facing toward traffic this works as a blinking red taillight, similar to a bicycle taillight.I'm completely sold on the value of a headlight instead of a flashlight in hand. Unless you need a REALLY strong light or something hard in your hand as a defensive tool, the headlamp wins every time.Batteries have surprisingly long life due to LED efficiency.My oldest Tactikka is 8 or 10 years old. It has been used at least 300 times per year, in rain, fog, or snow and on clear nights. ALWAYS been reliable. The elastic strap has gotten tired and Petzl does not offer a replacement strap. I'll do my own thing to refresh the worn out strap since the light still works well after three thousand uses.

Arrived on time. Way better than i expected. Just the right size. I love the camo pattern. Very lightweight. Very compact. The rgb plus 3 levels of white light is very cool. You get a bunch of cool features for a great price plus a sticker. Very cool. Im definately ordering another in a different headstrap color...

great for dark camping,comfortable, easy to work

The original was a gift from my son, who said they used these in Afghanistan when out on patrol. I have bough a couple of others for backup and just for having them where I need them. Comfortable. Bright, effective light. Multiple intensity to suit the situation. Highly recommend one.

great product. I use for early morning and late night livestock feeding. All functions adjust easily and is very lightweight and comfortable. Would recommend this product

Plenty of power on high, and sufficient light on low. I use the red light mode when doing night photography to get my setup ready to shoot; it helps with the night vision. The white light works great for light painting after dark.

This head lamp is bright, comfortable, and easy to use with gloves.

Frontal perfecto pequeño, manejable luz muy clara y sin sombras ,muy alto nivel de acabados, consumo muy bajo y muy como cómodo de llevar , para mi gusto el color debería ser un poco más oscuro, se puede activar con facilidad incluso con guantes

Habe in den letzten Wochen Rotlicht bei nächtlichen Spaziergängen im Feld mit meinen beiden Hunden zu schätzen gelernt. Erstens werden die Hunde nicht geblendet und zweitens erhält das rote Licht meine Nachtsichtfähigkeit, außerdem fällt man selbst nicht so auf. Allerdings nervte mich nach einiger Zeit die Taschenlampe (Empfehlung: Wowtac A1S BSS!!!!) immer in der Hand halten zu müssen. Meine Petzl XP Kopflampe bot mir allerdings nur sehr begrenztes, rotes Licht. Schon mal versucht eine Kopflampe mit zusätzlicher roter LED zu bekommen? - Echt schwierig. Nach längerer Überlegung hatte ich mich dann doch noch mal für eine Petzl entschieden, dachte nähmlich, dass das Rotlicht aller Petzl gleich schwach leuchtet?! Da mir die Tactikka + in Camouflage eh gut gefiel hatte ich sie einfach mal bestellt. Das Rotlicht der Tactikka + ist tatsächlich stärker als das der XP und streut sogar noch etwas im Nahbereich. Also ich bin hell auf begeistert! Hier wurde die „klapprige“ Neigungsverstellung kritisiert. Diesbezüglich kann ich beruhigen. Dachte auch Anfangs bei der XP, dass der Mechanismus nicht lange halten würde, allerdings verrichten diese und noch eine weitere Petzl („Tikka“ glaube ich) bei mir seit ein paar Jahren treue Dienste ohne irgendwelche „Ermüdungserscheinungen“. Ich finde auch das Batteriefach qualitativ nicht so gut gelungen, da teilweise ein kleiner Spalt im geschlossenen Zustand bleibt, aber auch diesbezüglich gab es bislang überhaupt keine Probleme. Die Petzl`s funktionieren einfach hervorragend und sind auf Grund des geringen Gewichtes sehr schön zu tragen. Im übrigen ist bei den drei normalen Lichtstufen für jeden etwas dabei. Die Lichtstreuung ist auch in den Weißlichtmodis als hervorragend zu bewerten. Mein Schwerpunkt lag diesmal, wie man unschwer feststellen konnte, im Bereich Rotlicht. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis der Tactikka + bewerte ich als hervorragend!!!

Meine fünfte oder sechste Petzl. Im Auto, im Keller beim Radfahren und täglich im Dienst.Sehr robust, wenn auch nicht unzerstörbar.Mit Handschuhen leicht zu bedienen, gängiges Batterieformat, gute Lichtleistung, Stundenlang an Kopf und Hals tragbar und und und.....Mir persönlich gefällt vor allem die schlichte, kompakte und griffige Haptik der Lampe.Ich kann jedem nur raten die 10 Euro mehr auszugeben anstatt nach einer billigen Alternative zu greifen. Wenn ich Licht in dem Moment nicht habe in dem ich es bräuchte, nützen mir die gesparten Kröten auch nichts. Klare Empfehlung!
