Spring Dreams 9" Two-Sided Pocket Coil Mattress, Twin XL

Arrived one day late. It has become an irritating habit with Amazon Prime - the last five items I bought were late.The mattress comes rolled up in plastic and in a cardboard box. It is not too difficult to carry, even by one person. Unwrap the cardboard and then use a long scarf to wrap around the middle part of the rolled mattress and then across your body (like a giant messenger bag), and you can carry it easily upstairs even if you weigh 100 pounds yourself.Word of caution - there will be a stench coming from the plastic wrapping once you open the package, but it should dissipate within 24 hours; just leave your windows open for the day. The mattress itself does not have a repulsive smell.The mattress is firm but very comfortable, not at all like sleeping on a log. My back had no issues with it, to my surprise.If you plan to get the Zinus Smartbase for it, just know that the Twin XL mattress is smaller than the Twin XL base by a couple of inches all around. However, if you cover the edges of the Smartbase with a fitted sheet, it should not be a problem.

The product is very nice for the price.The first delivery returned to Amazon due to damage while in transit.I had to re-reorder.Once I got delivery, everything was fine.First, I had to remove plastic seal.If I can leave plastic cover, that would be better.Yes, the mattress is very soft.Well, the most soft mattress I ever tried.When I sit on the edge, it goes down half of the height.But, when I lie down, it's pretty supportive.There is no odd furniture smell.The length is 79 inch for Twin XL.If it's 1 inch longer, I can give one more star right there.(I knew it is 79 inch though...)I am O.K with this mattress.

I suffer from Chronic Asthma, I have purchased several memory foam mattresses only to give them away because I could not breathe.I was hesitant to buy this one but the price was right and I had been sleeping on the floor for 2 years, 2 years of terrible sleep.It arrived in 2 days and I quickly took it out of the box and cut the plastic it rolled up and wrapped in. Immediately I could see it expanding, I thought it would pop and hit me so I backed away and stretched my arm out to cut the rest of the plastic. It opened up slowly and expanded which had me worried because I thought it would not be firm but I was wrong. Once expanded this feels like any other mattress. I left it on the living room floor and did not waste time taking my first nap. As I woke up I expected to be wheezing and struggling to breathe but that was not the case, I felt fine.The nightmare of tossing and turning on the floor is finally over and instead of waking up at 5am when everyone else is asleep I now sleep until 8am to the sounds of my wife leaving to with my daughter to school. This mattress is worth a million dollars to me, I can finally have restful sleep and a normal life again. I plan to use this mattress for another month before ordering the king size for out bedroom.

I am a international college student in early 20s and I don't usually leave reviews for products. Ever since using an expensive air-mattress in high school for 3 years, I've been having constant back pain. To prevent back pain, I had to sleep on an extra-firm mattress, which I couldn't easily fall asleep on because it was too uncomfortable. It is my third year in college and I just moved into an apartment, transitioning from a college dorm. At first, I purchased a $1500 firm mattress from a mattress retail store, hoping the mattress would help me to fall asleep easily without back pain. However, I had to return the mattress after 30 days because it was causing my back pain to be worst and I could barely sleep(they have a 120 days return policy). I read reviews about this medium-firm mattress alleviating back pains and I was doubtful that a $150 medium firm mattress would allow me to sleep comfortably without back pain. Plus, the thing about mattress from Amazon is that it is very hard, if not impossible, to return once you take it out of the box. I decided to give it a try and I am in love! I have been sleeping like a baby from day 1 and I am so happy that I finally found a mattress that allows me to fall asleep comfortably without back pain.

The mattress was described as a twin XL... It was 3 inches short and costs 99 dollars to return. If you absolutely need a longer twin, do not order this mattress. It is comfortable but worthless if you truly need a twin extra long. It should have been the length of a queen but wasn't anywhere near. My grandson is getting taller and needed a longer mattress, but this isn't it. I will not order online again since it can't be returned without paying 2/3rds of the price.

I bought this mattress because of all of the great reviews that people were kind enough to write. Having been struggling with a bad back for a long time (months), I didn’t know what to do but suspected it had to be my very old mattress that was causing the problem. I actually got to the point where I was in so much pain that I could barely walk.When this mattress arrived I really had my doubts about it. It was much too firm for me and I was still in pain. But I knew that firm was what I needed to heal my back. So, I bought a thick mattress pad and then put my feather bed back on top. Since doing that I have slept on it for less than a week, and my pain is amazingly disappearing! I think this mattress is healing me. So, I highly recommend it and appreciate its really reasonable price. I could not have afforded an expensive new mattress. Thank you so much for making these mattresses!

I thought I was buying a "medium firm" mattress, but it turned out to be very soft, much too soft for my back! I would return it, but it came extremely tightly rolled in the box, and I'm nowhere close to being able to roll it back up to fit back in the box.
