Power savings are great - the bulbs are relatively cool to the touch (halogen use 1000% of the power and don't even try to touch them).The light it produces is not super bright - maybe 75% of the halogen bulbs it replaced.1 bulb out of 5 installed started flickering on 6th month after installation. The light fixtures have no ballast or dimmer - just a simple light switch on / off, so the comment in the product description does not apply. So having spares is a must.

These are a little dim compared with the halogens they replaced, but not too dim. I have 2 fixtures in my bathroom, one with one bulb and the other with 4 bulbs. I usually used the one bulb fixture, unless I needed to see myself in the mirror; that's even more true now, but the light is completely adequate when both fixtures are on. It's still bright enough to use the toilet, and just bright enough to read with the single fixture, though it is a little dimmer than before. If I'm reading fine print, I might need to turn on both fixtures. So far, that hasn't happened, but I expect it might. In any case, it doesn't matter much, because instead of using 750 watts with both on, it's only 50 watts now.I think I would have preferred the natural white instead of the cold white that I purchased, although I haven't tried them.They were a bit snug, but they fit the existing fixture without modification. All in all, this was a good purchase.

Not exactly a 100 Watt equivalent. It's about 90% as bright as a 100 Watt halogen - the difference is plainly visible.

Received my order today. The good things first. These bulbs do not generate the heat as the halogen bulbs do. The halogen bulbs can be extremely hot. That's the main reason that I want to switch to these LED bulb.Now onto the not so good part. Several immediate issues I noticed:1) Not as bright as 100 W halogen, which these are said to be equivalent to.2) Dimming is not continuous. As you turn the dimmer on your lamp, the brightness of the bulb immediately drops from100% to perhaps 20% and 10% and off. There is no continuous dimming.3) The bulb is big and what does not help is that its two terminals have wide shoulders below them, making it difficult to fit it into the space in the lamp. With some effort, I pushed it in but the wide shoulders definitely make it harder to insert or remove this bulb.update -Barely 2 weeks, one of the bulbs is now flickering, toggling between bright and dim constantly on its own.

This replacement bulb will fit into the existing fixture. I'm sure that it is an acceptable replacement for the halogen bulb but it would not fit. I'll have to try an alternative.I'm going to try the Bonlux Dimmable 78mm R7S LED Light Bulb

This bulb is as bright as the halogen it replaces. I do not have long-term experience with the longevity. But it beats the heck out of the heat thrown by the halogens. With all that energy lost as heat, it HAS to be so much more efficient!

Works fine and energy efficiency is great but they are not as bright as 100W regular bulb

These bulbs fits in the fixture very well. However, they are not as bright as I expected. You have to use multiple bulbs to really lighten up the area.
