Quality valve, better than Orbit
I've changed a dozen pis orbit valves. This one is a quality unit.

Purchased 4, Installed 2 and the last one was leaking.
I don't know if this is a quality control issue, but the 2nd one I installed was leaking pretty badly. I didn't want to cut it off the pipes after having glued it on, so I replaced the top from another one ... but it was still leaking.At this point I was worried that the bottom of the main valve itself was damaged, So I took it apart again and made sure that everything was seated properly before putting it together again.The one thing I did which I'm not sure made a difference is that I made sure that the flow control valve was completely open before I put it together again. I think that the tab from the control valve (when it's in a close position) prevents the unit from seating itself properly when put together. I'm not sure, but it worked.I sure hope that I don't have to go through this again with the remaining two that I have to replace.
