I was really impressed with the quality of this kit BUT... I have built many (12) dollhouses so am aware of the challenges. This kit, however, has so many parts, some of which were missing, and the instructions are not always clear so it becomes a struggle to complete. I ended up buying different components from other vendors to achieve the final product (porch railing and posts, flooring and roof to replace paper products, etc.). The structure of the basic house is solid and well designed and I appreciated the wallpaper application. I wish I could give this a higher rating but there are too many problems that make it frustrating.

I built this as a gift for my mother who likes to watch Fixer Upper. I channeled my inner Joanna Gaines and decorated it as I imagined she would. This is not a beginner project. It does not have color instructions and all the item descriptions are illustrations not photos so it is a little bit of a challenge to identify pieces. No pieces were missing. There are a lot of printed sheets that have to be glued to the wooded walls, roof, etc., so be prepared for that. You will need some kind of doll house wall paper glue, do not try to use plain white school glue or you could end up with a wrinkled mess. The printed sheets are nice quality.

This is an absolutely beautiful build but!! Extremely hard to put together. Why??? The directions are atrocious!! They're in black and white and look like they've been xeroxed so many times that they're smudgy looking. Very confusing as well. Between the directions and looking at the images on the box I was able to complete it but I know of at least 3 people who have given up and either put it away or just trashed it and it's all because of the horrible directions!! Please, manufacturers, make clear, concise directions in color!! Especially for the price we're paying for it!!

My mom and I built this house together. Our version of Santa's House. We really enjoyed the whole process of changing EVERYTHING. We did use most of the pieces that came with the kit to create the furniture, (the fireplace was partly made with wood from one of the kid beds) we also added some furniture from other kits. All of the wall papers and fabrics are different, but I was able to use some of the fabric for other builds. We changed the location of the bedrooms and changed the kid's room into Santa's workshop. Totally agree with other posts about the directions, they are in black and white and hard to read but if you have experience building you should not have too many issues with this house. None of the pieces were broken and all of the papers are of good quality. Someone said this kit is 1:24 scale, all of the builds I have done to date are 1:24 and this kit is not, but it is not big enough for dolls and should not be purchased for a toy.

It is a nice looking doll house once its together. Ours was missing pieces. The directions are a joke. Upper doormer wall were missing couldn't get any product support we made walls from scrap plywood we had. There was enough fabric to compete some of the furniture so we had to make our own from scraps we had. Overall unless you are handy enough to fabricate items that are missing I wouldn't recommend this item. Very poor quality control. Save your money and frustration look at other options.
