I was having so much trouble with the little trays that come with the diamond painting kits, that I decided to look for something better. These fit the bill. I love the size that holds more diamonds and the little closeable pour spout at the end. The only negative is a problem I have found with the little trays as well. Sometimes the diamonds get stuck in the grooves. A bit annoying when trying to get them with the pick-up tool.

These trays are so much better than the tiny ones that come with the kits. They're made of sturdy plastic and fit well in my case.

These are not my favorite trays, but they definitely do hold a lot of diamonds and are great for color blocking. Pouring them back into a container is a pain and typically I need a funnel for that. Great for a budget.

they are good for diamond painting

I held off from getting one of these as I honestly thought they were just a tool that was not needed or wouldn't be helpful. In the world of diy and crafting there is a lot of that and you can spend a large amount of money on not needed items. WELL I missed the mark here. I wish I had purchased this sooner. The little grooves help flip the rhinestone so that your picker can grab it without having to flip each stupid rhinestone one by one. Great time saver, organizer, and it keeps them from falling off the table! LOL it's cheap and it's worth it. Do it.
