I ordered the Macalicious Macaroni Mix especially for my 11 & 7 yr olds who have been obsessed with wanting to learn how to make them. I have been dragging my feet on the project only because I have heard how hard they are to make and was intimidated. This kit promised to make it a good experience with its pre-measured packets, detailed instructions, piping bags and size guidance sheet. We were off to a good start just by ordering this kit. Upon opening the box, I laid everything out then read the instructions. I could not get the QR code nor the text video to work, so I leaned on YouTube and found a video but with a different brand mix. After watching the video I felt more confident. Mixing the dough went smoothly as did making the macaron shapes. They baked in the allotted time and cooled quickly. For filling, we used the included creme instructions with peppermint flavoring for about half. The other half was some with peanut butter, the rest with Nutella. The macarons came out beautifully, better than I dared hope. This mix was a wonderful experience and a good value for the time spent together making memories. I gladly give 5 stars and highly recommend.

I did this kit with my 13 year old son and it was well organized and easy to follow. We read through the instructions quickly to gather what we needed, and then followed along with the video on the website step-by-step. That was very helpful for us to guage how stiff our meringue peaks were. The only part that held us up was deciding what type of filling to do. We didn't have any gel food color for the shells, and decided on adding matcha powder for the buttercream flavor. I think if a few ideas were included in the recipe, we would have been more prepared to make the filling, and purchased gel color and flavor ingredients ahead of time. Overall, this was a great kit, easy to follow with written and video instructions. We loved it and would definitely gift this to any baking fan!

Made these with my granddaughter who loves macarons over the ice storm. They were delicious and could be easily flavored and colored. she now has the confidence to try some variations. The texture was spot on! I would give it four stars on difficulty for children. She is a teen so it wasn't as difficult for her, but the littles had given up due to difficulty

The packaging is misleading because it does NOT include the food coloring, even though pink macrons are shown on the cover. Additionally, the piping utensil they send you looks very different than what's on the cover. It kept falling off. You need an electric mixer, which isn't mentioned until you open the box. On the box it says, you just need XYZ, but you need a lot more than that. The instructions have a number to text to get a video, but when you text it there is no reply. I don't know why it wouldn't just include the link to the video.

This kit was so easy to follow. Even I was able to make great treats! The instructions were easy to follow and they really thought about the details (the directions are laminated which is genius). I followed everything as they said and they turned out great. Only thing you may want to do is look up how to “fold” ingredients ahead of time.

My son has loved baking for a long time, when he first saw macarons he fell in love with how beautiful they are and the opportunity for creativity! I was nervous hearing how difficult they were, but I ran across this kit and gave it to my son for Christmas. He was so excited he made them the next day, and they turned out as pictured above 👆 They were delicious! Unfortunately we forgot to add the food dye at the right step (our bad, the instructions specify when to put it in), so they weren’t as colorful as he would have liked, but he was able to follow the instructions all on his own! I would say it was a success and this kit gave him confidence to make more in the future :)

Terrible! Damaged upon arrival and no returns. Buyer beware. Bags open and spilling out.
