Wilson Evolution Game Basketball

Don't get me wrong, it's a great ball, but I received the original ball colour, although the product description I ordered was '(Official - 29.5", Black)'.

Great ball IF you get from the right factory. There is a three letter stamp on the ball by the inflation needle entry and if it starts with "X", send it back. The ball is hard and slippery from those factories. I got one with an "N" factory next and that ball is great.Not sure why the quality control from wilson is so poor, hence the 3 star.

I have friends who had this ball so I went ahead and ordered one, especially when I saw it on sale for just above 50$. When I got it, it had an indentation. It didn’t make much sense to me so I exchanged it because it seemed defective, maybe not totally round.The one I got in it’s stead seemed to have the same mark but much less pronounced. Seems like a mark left from the quality control or manufacturing. It was at the exact same spot. Are they shipping lemons? Maybe, because neither came with the traditional box.I’m keeping the second one because it’s still a decent ball for 2/3 of the original price. Don’t know if I can trust amazon again to purchase my next ball though.Update: second ball is clearly a lemon too. It doesn’t stay inflated!! I put it aside for a couple weeks and it gets deflated. Very disappointed.

1. This ball came without its usual box; just tied in a plastic bag.2. It is not the black edition as the description claims.3. I have yet to test it out enough, but given some of reviews, I'm now worried that I got one of the lemons which don't hold air.

disappointed with manufacturing consistency. I have owned one other Wilson evolution basketball and I do drills with both of them. One of them I bought in the store and the other one I bought on Amazon. The one I bought on Amazon doesn't hold air, I need to pump it once a week while the other one I've had for years and holds air easily for a few months. I'm sure most of the ones from Amazon are fine given the other reviews, but there are definitely a few lemons, so beware.

14 yo Son LOVES the basketball - he says he’s happy it’s authentic and all his Basketball buddies want to know where he got it from! Grip is so Niice - use indoors only. Doesn’t come in a box but came with air in it and we had to add a tiny bit more. Was winter when we purchased and shipped so imagine it lost some through transport etc.
