Great Inexpensive Solution
I bought this mount in order to wall mount a Panasonic TH-50PX75U 50" plasma. It worked perfectly and was very easy to put up. I looked at some of the big box stores, and couldn't see why I should pay $200-400 for a mount, when I could get one from Amazon for much less...and I wasn't disappointed. After I took my 100 lb tv box up two flights of stairs, I was convinced that I needed to hire a professional to mount it. But as soon as I saw it cost between $300 and $400 to have this done, I decided to tackle the job myself. I am glad I did, because it was very simple. The first thing to do, prior to ordering this mount, is to make sure that you know where the studs are in your wall. This mount works in wood, concrete, and cinder block. For wooden studs, it will work in two or three studs, just make sure they aren't more than 24" apart from the outsides. The mount backing is wider than that, but you want to mount in the middle of the studs. Also, verify that it will work with your tv. This one works with most tvs that are 32 to 50 inches, but if you aren't sure, go to the Peerless web site, and you can look up your tv model.Once you have verified and ordered, the set up is pretty easy. Mark your studs, level it, and mount the back plate. It took me (a very average do it yourselfer) 10 minutes to do this part. The hardest part was driving the hardware into the studs, because of the beams being thick. Peerless makes selection of the hardware easy, because it provides packets of screws based on the material you are mounting into.Second step is to hook the tilting brackets onto the back of your tv. Again, this was very easy because Peerless gives you a job aid that tells you based on your tv model which screws to use that will fit your tv. It comes with many different options, so very likely you will have the right hardware to complete this step. The most difficult part of this step I thought was making sure that the brackets were mounted equally from top to bottom of the tv. I measured a few times, but missed the right hole twice before getting it right. But still an easy process. Tighten up the screws to your tv, make sure the tilt knobs are locked down and you are ready to lift the tv into place. My tv weighs about 90 lbs, so it was a two person (probably should have been 3) job. Luckily my tv has handles on the bottom to lift it up, which made it easier, but still heavy since I have it mounted 6 feet off the ground. It slips onto the wall mount very easily, then you slip the bottom on. Once you get it onto the mount, you will want to adust the tv horizontally (meaning you will want to make sure it's centered the way you want it). Peerless says that you shouldn't adjust it more than 4 inches one way or the other. Once horizontally placed, you will put in the safety screws in the bottom (that was a little difficult, given the closeness of the mount to the wall, but if you have a long screw driver, it's simple). You can then loosen the vertical tilt knobs and adjust the tv vertically to your desire, and retighten the knobs.Over all, very easy to install, very solid (Peerless says it will hold up to 150 lbs)--it's not going anywhere once mounted into the studs and the safety screws are in place. And a great bargain price. The only thing I think could be a concern depending on your tv is that you might have trouble accessing the AV connections on the back. The Panasonic that I have has all the connections pretty low on the bottom, so I can use the tilt knobs to swing it up a bit and access the connections. My guess unless you buy one of those mounts that swings out, you would face that with any mount.

Great Mount! Great Service!
This wall mount is the exact product you would expect from a company called Peerless. Its very sturdy, very easy to put up, and the tilt function works very well. I went with this mount because I liked how you can adjust the tilt without needing any tools. There are little plastic handles on each side which are used to tighten or loosen the tilt joints. If you can't turn them 360 degrees because they hit the back of your TV, you just pull them out to disengage, turn them back like a ratchet, then you push em in, tighten, and repeat. I also like how you can keep them partly tightened and this allows you adjust the tilt of the TV by just applying a little pressure on the screen frame. I installed it myself which is easy as long as your comfortable with your ability to center and level the mount. Also, customer service is amazing. I called twice with questions about the hardware to use and how to mount it on my TV and immediately was connected to a real person. She couldn't answer one of my questions so she connected me to one of their engineers! Really fantastic service for any company let alone one that just makes TV mounts.A little hint...as soon as you hang the TV on the wall plate, make sure you screw in the locking screws before attempting to make any adjustments to the tilt. I was so excited, I loosened the tilt joints and the tv dropped down to its lowest tilt position. With the TV in the lowest position, you cannot get to the locking screws and if you try to tilt it back up, the bottom hooks will swing off the wall since its the screws that secure it on the bottom of the frame. It was a small mistake that was very annoying to resolve since the tilt is calibrated to move under the weight of the TV, not me with a screwdriver trying to pry the thing back to the center position! Go slow, and it should all work out.

Good Product At A Great Price
First off, I want to talk about the misleading picture. If you basically remove everything inside the outer frame, that's what the newer version looks like. Having said that, I wouldn't be put off as it's still very strong and can more than cope with today's LCD TVs weighing around 50-60 pounds. Mounting is very easy and comes with a vast assortment of bolts and fixings to meet almost every design out there (providing they stick to Vesa guidelines). Overall, a great product, which does the same job similar mounts offer for at least twice the price, but I do want to dock one star though for the misleading picture and the fact it looked as though the box had already been opened. Reading a previous reviewer, I was wondering if I was getting someone else's castoffs.

Quality mount!
I bought this mount to hold a 50" Panasonic plasma TV. I wanted the tilt feature to adjust for the viewing height, but in fact it has been far more useful in tilting the TV back to reach the cable connections without taking the TV off the wall. (A benefit I hadn't considered before purchasing, but easily worth the price of the mount all by itself!) Unfortunately, I discovered my apartment had metal stud walls, and that would require the need of the ACC 415 mounting kit. I ordered this directly from Peerless, but had incredibly slow delivery over the holiday. I ended up buying toggler bolts from a local hardware store and they worked great. When mounted properly, this mount claims it holds up to 175 lbs. I'm a bit over that, and was able to test it by hanging from my fingertips after mounting it to the wall. It didn't budge an inch. Instructions are very clear and they contain hardware for a huge number of TV sets. A large booklet of TVs and the associated mounting hardware is included. Just match the listing in the manual to the well-labeled bags of included hardware. If you are a do-it-yourself type of person, this should be a straightforward project for you to do. If not, you can still do it, but just take some extra precautions. A good edge stud finder is key, as is a small level for making sure everything is right. Make sure you hit the center of the studs, and have someone nearby to look at the job before you lock it all in. I found making a paper cutout of the TV screen size and holding it up to where the mount was made it easier for my wife to provide feedback on the viewing height. Our TV is 100lbs, and two non-weightlifting type people could easily lift it up and safely connect the mountings without a struggle. The mount has been solid and the thumbscrews on the side for the tilt are very handy for adjusting the TV to get to the cables. Would definitely recommend this mount to others.
