Her face is Marino wool and her body outer is 95% cotton 5% lycra. Rae's hair is an acrylic and wool mix. With stuffing and a face of wool, she warms up quickly and holds warmth better than a cotton doll. Wool's natural antimicrobial/antibacterial properties make her a wonderful choice for any child. At 16" she's the perfect height to cuddle with, while being small enough to be easily held and carried. AllAboutClothDolls has a new take on a traditional toy. A Waldorf doll (also called Steiner doll) is a form of doll used in Waldorf education. Usually made of wool and cotton, using techniques drawing on traditional European dollmaking, its appearance is intentionally simple in order to allow the child playing with it to improve or strengthen imagination and creativity. Many of my dolls feature a print body in lieu of doll clothing. While I offer a classic face, I also offer more detailed and intricate options.
