I work in a school, and so am well familiar with using adapters to get external screens to work with apple products. After several years of experience, I can say with certainty that all apple adapters are subject to "wearing out", whether from repeated unplugging or just a lot of hours of use.Now that I'm teaching from home, I was using an adapter (mini display port to VGA) for one of my external monitors and it was working fine. However, when I unplugged the monitor to put it on a stand and started it up again, my computer would not recognize it as a 1080p display. In my experience, this is a sign that either the display or the connection is the source of the problem. Because I know that the adapters are likely to fail, I ordered this cable.Plugged it in, problem solved. The screen looks great.I don't know why getting a cable with the correct ends to connect between computers and external screens works better than using adapters, I just know that it does. This one seems to be of good quality, and there are no quirks like having to unplug it to get the computer to recognize the external screen (as is super common with, you guessed it, adapters).

I bought this to connect a laptop with an HDMI port to an older DVI monitor. It works great, provides a good, stable image. Since it's a DVI connector, it won't show copyright protected images such as DVD and doesn't support sound through the cable, but we need it for slide shows and online presentations only.

I needed to use a 2nd monitor for work computer used at home but other adapters needed to add a driver. With this cable, no driver was needed, it worked immediately. Great purchase!

It worked flawlessly, looks very high quality and flexible. Arrived within expected time with good packaging. Removing onestar because it says limited lifetime warranty if registered within 15 days of purchase but on registration form it keeps asking for phone model...????...Google keeps sending reminder to complete form.

I work from home and use my laptop extensively. So I use an external monitor. I had a Mini DP to DVI adapter, but my monitor would lose the signal intermittently. I thought maybe it was my laptop's display adapter driver, because I would run for days on end with no problem, but my laptop had another display-related glitch. Well, got this JETech cable and it hasn't missed beat. Sure wish I'd replaced it earlier. Very nice build quality on this; the materials seem very good. Very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend this product but be aware it may stop working once you upgrade any Macbook to OS catalina since the computer no longer detects the external display or monitor and the only way to fix it is by using the official Apple mini display port to dvi adapter
