I have used 10 penny nails in the past but these seem to conduct much more electricity through these copper rods. They are also sharp so they don't move around and make deep grooves when fractal burning.

I thought I was getting brand new copper rods, but these looked used with tarnish and smudges along the main body of the rod and green corrosion on the pointed area, making me wonder how well the tip will withstand pressure. Maybe this will still work fine for most uses, but it's not the shiny new copper rods shown in the product picture and I'm disappointed.UPDATE: I received a replacement and this new package had new, shiny copper rod like I'd expected. Very pleased with these. One picture shows the original rods. Three show the new rods.

Using these Copper Rods 2PCS with Spring Clamps 2PCS, with Neon Transformer that was purchased, and they work great in that application......Recommended...!!

Just what I needed at a great price!!

I was using nails prior to purchasing these copper rods. The difference using these is amazing. I have much more control having the rods in clamps that were also purchased from the same seller. If you are fractal burning these are a must!

I use this for geology exploration, rock hardness testing to determine mineralogy in the field. Perfect size and impossible to find any pure copper points like this anywhere else!
