5 was comfortable, my big toe was pressed all the way ...
I have a wide foot and usually wear a size 9 - and in Wide or C/D if available. I first ordered a 1/2 size smaller based on the recommendation in the seller's ad. Although the 8.5 was comfortable, my big toe was pressed all the way to the end of the shoe and my toe would've started to hurt with prolonged wearing. So, I returned the shoe for my usual size 9 and it fits perfectly! The velcro straps on the heel and across the front of the shoe make it possible to adjust the width as needed. The shoe is just as cute as pictured, very comfortable - and I love it!

I've owned a few pairs of these and worn them until they fell apart literally. I work in a hospital and do a lot of walking. Great fit and the double adjustable straps help custom the fit if my feet are swelling or not. Last a long time even with daily wear. I've even tossed in my washing machine and they come out great just air dry them. I recommend them for anyone who has a hard time finding good shoes that fit a high arch.

Do something about the insoles!!!!!
This shoe is very uncomfortable - the insole is like walking on a board - a painful experience. I have had two pairs of Mephisto shoes - this style - and they were very comfortable. I purchased these two pairs from the Mephisto store in Houston, Texas. These are expensive shoes and I expected the same product and comfort when I ordered from Amazon. Now I have a $200 shoe that I cannot wear.

Run a bit large
These run large. I found the insert uncomfortable but with the substitution of my best orthotics, I now have a stable comfortable shoe for winter wet weather. Cute, too.

Can't wear them yet.
I bought these to walk the dog in cold weather, among other things. As it is still in the 70's where I live, I haven't actually worn them yet. The fit is good, & they look nice, but you need to get back to me, perhaps in November?

Caused bruising.
I’ve waited too long to return these shoes. I have my second toe longer than my big toe. I’ve seldom worn these shoes because my toes jam whenever I walk for exercise. They cause bruising/ swelling on the top of my foot.

The shoes are fantastic
The shoes were exactly what I expected and needed. Good fit, comfortable and make walking with foot neuropathy comfortable again.
