Remote is the WEAK LINK. IT DOES WORK THOUGH.
These SUPER CHEAP remotes, are just not very good! JUST NOT. You really have to aim them right at the front rim of these things, and press the button down VERY firmly. Otherwise these are great bright, fun little lights that totally get the job done on the cheap.

Super bright and versatile, awesome price
These are way better quality than I’d expected for the price. They made the Halloween displays in the front yard awesome with music and effects we played from speakers.

Great but wish they were brighter when using outdoors
Great quality and functionality but wish they were brighter. White is the brightest color but for outdoor temporary use they are not super bright. Needed a few to light up different areas

Very Basic for the features
I bought this for a colored strobe for our external halloween decorations. I really like the design (as I mounted it to our Portico), and I like the functions of the remote. What I wish was different is that the instructions are horrible and the device does not remember your previous setting. The device has a three function switch on the back, and the instructions doesn't even address one of the settings, so I have no idea what it does. The biggest problem I have with the device is that once you turn the power off, it resets back to factory settings, so if you set a specific color (or combination of colors) and strobe speed,, every single time you turn it on, you will have to set up what you want all over again. It's pretty frustrating.
