HOPPE'SHoppes, Universal Field Cleaning Kit

I had to purchase the Hoppe's Boresnake seperately because i own a 40cal S&W chambered handgun... Sadly (and oddly) their kits that are very similar to this one don't come for the 40cal size. I would recommend this kit and buy the Boresnake seperately. It's got plenty of room for all the basics. I purchased the Boresnake and shoved it into the bottom pouch (the item picture has wipes sticking out of the pouch). Behind the oils there is another pouch, I moved the rods, handle, and pieces to that back pocket and placed a Hoppe's Nylon Utility Brush in the middle slot (where the rods are shown being stored in the product picture). I just put the wipes into a small ziplock bag and laid them flat on top of the oils, and then I even bought an oil wipe/cloth and placed that in it's bag on top of the wipes that came with it. It still folds up and stays closed with no problems (obviously fuller looking, and stuffed). But it holds it all, and that is basically all you need. It's small, and great for when you travel. If your going to shoot and not going home to clean it, your looking at the perfect thing. I camp and hunt on the weekends and sometimes go out of state, this is perfect. Just need to spend a few extra bucks on the other things and your set! I'd recommend this.

The kit is great! It just misses solvent and oil. I added a small 2oz bottle of Ballistol all in one cleaner and lub. A couple of cotton hankies, some 22 and 9mm q-tip swabs all of which fit in the handy soft sided case. Great product! Every pistol and rifle owner should have one.

Great portable cleaning mat complete with limited cleaning supplies

Great starter kit. I am not crazy about the feel of the metal rod (bare metal). However, that does not affect the use of it. Picks are plastic, so you have to be careful with those. However, I cleaned my pistol without any difficulty using this kit. I also like the mat and magnet for holding the spring while cleaning so it doesn't end up on the floor somewhere.

Provides a perfect place to put everything when you're cleaning at home or at the range.

I'm throwing the cleaning rod away. It doesn't seem safe for cleaning a gun and the foldable handle is no good. I like the case and cleaning mat to take to the range. And I needed the brushes and cleaning picks anyway.

This is not my main cleaning kit. I bought this one that stays in my Grab and Go Bag. If I ever need to go I will have my guns and this kit is perfect for that. It's small, light weight and has everything my big kit has. Just smaller portions. Great by for what I need it for at a reasonable price.

I'm so glad I found this. I use Hoppe's for all my cleaning needs. This case is perfect for holding all of your brushes, bore cleaners, pads, qtips, everything! Before I did my cleaning on clothe with all my supplies in a plastic bag. Now I have everything in one place and can clean safely and efficiently. The magnet is an added bonus for field cleaning!
