Garrett Metal DetectorsAT Pro 4.5" Super Sniper Coil

Just received it and gave a quick test in the yard. My stock coil created a lot of chatter because of all the junk in my yard which made it hard to isolate the target. I switched to the sniper coil and because of the lack of noise I first thought it was broken. Then I started hitting clear signals. Made a huge difference in isolating signals. Can't wait to try it out at the 1700s farm house. Would buy it again, but wished I had gotten one with a protective coil cover

I got this for my neighbor as he is a detecting enthusiast. He likes it much better than the 6x11 coil he had. If you have an idea of where to search it makes it easy to pinpoint the location as opposed to such a large area.

I have to say up front I had a leaker and had to send it back.But having said that I have the smaller DD coil for the AT & some might not see a use for this coil. It is not the same coil at all.Besides being smaller for rocky nooks etc.. the coil is much more sensitive to micro gold than the small DD.Also the coil is the best fence line picker I've ever tried. You can run it full sensitivity and still sweep butted up against a fence line & pick out items masked underneath.But after my 1st dunking at a local fresh water boat launch the coil started falsing & after getting it home I found water seeping from the seam. So back it went....I tried another name brand unit with a 4" coil in the same boat launch. The AT did much better so I may get another but I sure hope QC is improved- a leaking coil happens and at least it was new & under warranty.
