Vaultek Barikade Series 2 Compact Pistol Safe (Biometric + Lid Organizer)

Seems like a super heavy and tough case. You can clearly tell they went out their way to design the case to overcome the issues they had with previous models and their lifepod cases. Whilst I’m no professional lock picker, the case inspires confidence that it’d be tough to get access too. Mind you, it’s a small portable safe so if you don’t strap it down, it may go walking. It’s still small enough that it can fit in a car but the weight makes it a little uncomfortable to do so. It’d probably stick with a dedicated car safe or an updated lifepod if you want to transit your gun around.Fingerprint reader is decent. It works fast enough and has fairly accurate reads. You have 20 open slots for fingerprints, just save the same fingers a few times to cover any potential margin of error. Overall, it’s not bad for the price point. I’d highly recommend as a decent bedside safe. It naturally can’t compete with a dedicated wall safe.

Compact yet holds my EDC weapon in the holster along with a 2 magazine holster. Very heavy duty construction. Tether cable offers enough length to place it in an optimal location. I like there are three ways to open it. Biometric, code, and key. Going to buy another one for my other car and my home.

I liked the qrc code that allowed you to view a step by step video setup of the Vaultek Barikade 2 safe. I like the led light on the inside. I also like the lock out feature if someone enters the wrong code multiple times. The safe is heavy 14 gauge steel which will make it hard for someone who wants to try and pry it open. I am not saying it is impossible it will just make it very difficult.

No issues with fingerprint reader at all. Product is solid. Would definitely recommend. Only gave 4 stars account of not having it for too long. Will update with long term results.

The media could not be loaded. Fingerprint scanner works, combo lock works and key lock works. It's sturdy with a nice foam padding inside. Love the cable lock connector. Inside light is also nice.

It’s a great gun safe

Got this for my Mom to hold her two favorite pistols and for her to have easy access as she is getting older. The ability to add multiple prints is AWESOME of course. Very sturdy and easy to program. Will serve its purpose well!

Sturdy build. Not going to be impenetrable but nothing is. Needed something to keep my gun safe from the kids if they should happened to find it. Well built and good looking safe. The gun stays in one place but the magazines can slide around if you move it. Luckily it’s staying in one place and not being used for travel. Save some money and buy the non-biometric. The finger scanner isn’t reliable. I just end up using the code anyway
