Price went up
Very good quality, nice filters, lets through almost all light. I also like it only has text on the side and not writings on the lens front. I bought various sizes 3 times and would love to stick with them in the future, but the price went up a lot in less then a year, it's almost double. Under $15 it was an amazing deal, but now closer to $25 I'm looking at other options.

Slim, sleek, protective
I’ve owned this particular UV filter in the past, I’ve never really been a big proponent of UV filters. Usually because I believe that the extra glass might take away from image quality. Your lens has been meticulously engineered to capture light. Anyway.. I don’t usually recommend UV filters unless you “walk around”a lot with your camera. Which is how I typically captures photos. I go outside and document life. The extra layer of glass is just for my peace of mind. I’m “protecting my glass”. I have low key OCD and obsess over keeping my lense glass clean and pristine lol. Anyway, I enjoy the slim and sleek design of this filter. The lens cap fits perfectly over it. Does it degrade image quality? It doesn’t seem to really except in one manner. When shooting directly into light. You’ll get the famous green light dot reflections in your photos. Think iPhone camera lens flares. Know what I mean? I don’t usually shoot directly into a light, but you might end up doing so when shooting indoors. You can always edit it out in post but it’s an annoying step. I don’t understand how a glass that claims to filter “UV haze” or whatever can create green ghost / light reflections. I thought it was just this filter that does it but so does a more expensive B+W filter I have on another lens.I guess it’s a sacrifice you’ll have to make to protect your expensive lenses. Something I’ll do while my lenses are relatively new. I think eventually I’ll remove it and just carry them bare

Very Good
Why pay more ? I purchased this UV filter after my camera and lens dropped from about 1.5 feet to the floor. Luckilly the floor was in my living room and was carpeted. The camera fell lens-first and hit the ground with a thump. There was no damage to the lens, but the filter glass popped out off its casing. Also, I could not get it off the lens. I had to order some filter wrenches to get the filter off. With that, I ordered this Neweer UV filter. It is not as slim as my other one, but it is very easy to clean and resists fingerprints. The glass is clear and does not affect picture quality whatsoever. What more can you ask for ?

You have to protect the lens
This was purchased to help protect my new camera lens. I have learned these protection filters will save your lens from an accidental bump into something or heaven forbid, a low drop of your camera or lens. This is easier to clean and protects your lens natural coatings from accidental cleaning scratches too.

Actually tested to filter 365 nm and 395nm UV
I was curious and brought out my 365nm and 395nm LED flashlights to see which camera filters block UVA rays well in comparison to prescription eyeglasses that come with UV-block coatings. This one performs similar to coated eyeglasses. The more expensive Neewer model HD MCUV Nano 10101409 which I had also purchased does not fare as well (see pics: this filter on the right, the Nano filter on the left). I wrote to Neewer customer service and their engineering team came back with this reply:Please note that the production processes of these two products are different.10100216 adopts UV cutoff coating preparation method10101409 adopts the preparation method of tempered UVPlease do not worry about the 10101409 you bought earlier.
