I'd wanted a an easy way to add snap fasteners to tings for a long time, but I was skeptical about whether or not a device like this would work. So I took a chance and I am so happy that I did. This works great! The first thing you'll notice is how heavy it is. Not that it's hard to use, but that it feels sturdy. Holding it you know it's gonna do the job and well. It even comes in a pleasing green color with goes with the rest of my tools. The instructions are easy to understand and the pieces fit together precisely. The magnets hold the various bases in place firmly so they don't move while punching a hole, or attaching the fastener pieces. I foresee many years of great use out of this, so it is absolutely worth the money for it's easy of use and build quality.

We've been using this to make seat covers for our boat. The tool works really well, I've had absolutely no problem with it at all. I like how the changeable plates are magnetic and stay attached to the tool. It comes with a pile of snaps that let me practice before using the stainless ones I purchased for the boat. I can see using this on lots of small projects. Great kit, excellent tool, reasonably priced. Total win.

I've never had a snap installer tool, so I don't have much to compare this to. I found this to work very easily, although the instructions are a little vague. There is a link to a short video that explains it a little better. After you use it once, you'll probably never need to look at the instructions again.I installed some snaps to replace worn-out Velcro on a raincoat hood storage flap and front pockets. I'm very happy with the result. The snaps are medium strength and just right for this application.My only small problem with my tool was that one of the little magnets embedded in the dyes kept falling out (remaining affixed to the tool). I put a very small drop of super glue in the magnet hole and reinserted the magnet, and all is better. I did not knock off any stars for this minor problem.

I found this to be rather handy for putting snaps on leather items I make. Not usable for all snap installation as the depth of the jaws is somewhat constraining.

This item is surpasses what it is expected. If you’re looking for something easy, quick efficient works every time to put snaps on anything. This is the item to use. I highly recommend it. You will not return this item.

Really is heavy duty and high quality. I used this to replace rusted and broken snaps on expensive, heavy motorcycle gear, and it worked flawlessly. Tool is sturdy, and snaps are the quality of the original snaps. Snaps hold and look good. No one will know they're not the original snaps! Different colors will match most any snaps you need to replace. Delighted with the purchase.

The tool is great but the snaps are very cheap and bend easily.
