Emilyandthe Handmade Designs, Volume 3: 7 Crochet Doily Designs by Grace Fearon

These are the worst directions ever. I have piles and piles of crochet books from all types of things to make and stacks of these piles are doilies and tablecloths. There are dimensional doily patterns in the books I own and those directions are written well and easy to follow. This book however, is the worst directions I've ever came across in a crochet book!

I love Grace's designs. I'm a beginner at thread crochet & doilies though I am fairly good with regular yarns & patterns. I wouldn't recommend trying any of these designs until you know how to create every stitch & specialty stitches as well as how to read the patterns; once you know those, you will be able to create some seriously beautiful Grace Fearon doilies.

Patterns are pretty, but i am really disappointed with pictures. Pictures should be bigger - full page, not two or three on one page. They should be pictured as they are on the wall not on the table. With a small pictures laying on the table its really hard to see stitches on the doily. I bought four books, and all of them have just small pictures.

If you like Patricia Kristofferson designs then you'll like these. Very textured. For advanced stitchers.

Beautiful but difficult need videos

Grace Fearon is a fantastic designer. Her designs are very intricate and beautiful. I think this volume has the best of her patterns!!

Another great collection of highly-textured doilies with clearly-written instructions! Volume 3 includes Marion (an oval), Naomi (a square) and Lorraine (an eight-pointed shape), as well as four new round doily designs.

Some of the most beautiful doilies I have ever seen. However would probably be somewhat daunting for a beginner but could be very useful in time to come.
