Laser Engraver, Ortur Laser Master 2 S2-SF Laser Engraving Machine, Upgraded LU2-4-SF 24V Optically Compressed, Laser Engraving Cutting Machine, 32-bit Motherboard LaserGRBL(LightBurn)

This was bought for my Farther as a Xmas gift. Unfortunately he passed away before he could use it. He left it to me. I had no idea how to use it, so started talking to Ortur via email. I have never in my life had the luck to deal with a better company. They are so helpful, understanding and compassionate. They helped with every question I had, and nothing was too much trouble. Now I am enjoying making all sorts of creations, from pictures to keyrings. The laser turned out to be so easy to use. I love it.Thank you Ortur for all your help. And well done on such an amazing product.

Assembly was straight forward if you look in detail at the orientation of parts in the instructions. I had already watched some of the many assembly videos on you tube before ordering whicj helped a lot. Support material in online link was really good. Even included downloadable 3d parts in case any were damaged. My box came minus a UK plug adapter, which I raised with amazon and the supplier who helped resolve the issue quickly. If this happens. Homebase was the best price I saw £5.25 if you needed to get going. However it is usually in the box as I was assuredI would recommend trialling lightburn software it is good. I will be purchasing a licence. The machine is a 20w laser (around 5.5w burn power). This is good for the line and engraving. Limited for full cut but manages to cut wooden samples sent with it. Lots to experiment with now so I may find its cut capability better. So good entry level machine to learn with, very happy with it.

It's a great tool. However it needs clarification on how to calibrate the laser. How to align it for each job..Also better instructions on how to cut out items.

Machine is good .but when i ask customer service about why my laser now engraving the exact same wood and file with more power compared to two weeks ago they send me a info about how engrave different materials.I know how to engrave but obviously laser was much weaker now just after may be 10 hours of use which is normal with diod laser and can happen to loose the power faster than they should.So i returned the machine completely. When you pay something £200 more than other places it's because you want a perfect customer service. Isn't that you charge almost 200 extra compared to ortur website??

The machine works as expected BUT the markings on the side were in inches and not millimetres. If the seller had said this I would have bought elsewhere. There is no excuse for a system sold in the UK or EU in 2021 to not have the metric measurement scale.

Not easy if you have never worked one beforeNot had much time to get into things yet not easy finding out much about it Youtube your best bet for info ? if you can find what your looking for but if your new to laser burning its a hard learning curve another year i can give you a better reportAm about to look for better software .

This item is very difficult to assemble as the instructions were not for this specific machine.The photograph showed a scale in centimetres and we received one with "inches"????The photograph showed all wires neatly tucked in casings, but this is not the because and many wires are just hanging out over the top.Had to modify some parts because the connections were inaccurately setup.Definitely not worth the money, but we are stuck with it.
