It's the standard size and looks like standard playing cards on the non-play side. The play side is blank, so you can put whatever you want on it.

Q: Does the card box come in the plastic wrap like a normal store bought deck?

It is packaged the same as any other deck. There are lots of tricks you can perform with the blank deck. Good choice.

Q: Can I write permanently on these without leaving an impression or bleed through that would compromise the deck?

You can write permanently on these - it doesn't bleed through to the back face. It seems to take a little longer than regular cards to dry, though, with Sharpies.
