Great Tips & Tricks Book
David Pogue has done it again with this book on Basics: Money. Mr. Pogue writes well and tells about every day items that we overlook or don't know about. He's like the big brother that tells you about the tips and tricks of life that no one tells anyone. After reading his books, you aren't always wondering why no one tells you this or that. I am also somewhat comforted to know that as I read along, I do some of the items he's telling us about so I don't feel completely in the dark.Maybe this book is not that enlightening to some but for others (like me), it give basics that will help through the rest of my life, making me look/feel like I'm "in the know."

Good to read
Coming from a 25 year old, this book is pretty useful. About 50 percent of it I knew due to being in school and being knowledgeable about the internet but the other 50 percent is just good stuff to know. Being that the book is only 10 bucks on kindle I would buy it if you are looking for ways to save. Granted, they aren't life changing, but will help your finances if you do follow through. I will most likely get his other book about life hacks too just so I am not missing anything. I do have a long time to live and should know the short cuts early on.

Essential! Money Tips and Shortcuts - a must-read in every household.
Pogue did an interview on NPR which caught my attention. He's right:! Spend $14. on his book and you'll save that back very quickly. My husband is skeptical about financial advice, but after showing him the chapter about credit cards, he applied for a new 2%-back card right away. “Money” has helped us rethink our investments, or daily purchases, and encouragedus to make some changes in our affairs. I for one, am grateful to David Pogue.

Great advice
I still re-read parts and am working on implementing different cost-saving strategies like buying gift cards online for less than face-value, using websites that track product prices for you, checking for lost money, and increasing all my insurance deductibles for example. Very well-written and great guide to pass on to your newly adult children (i share stuff with my tween all the time).

Not his best.
I really like David Pogue but this was not one of his best books. I have read the other two and they were very good but this one was just okay

Wisdom and Humor
Like all of David Pogue's books, his books are packed with operating tips, wisdom and a friendly humor. I picked up Money because I enjoyed his computer book and Life Hacks and because I've seen him on television. This is not deep philosophical theory on money... it's common-sense advice on how to not pay so much in everyday situations. From Air Travel to Razor Blades, there's something for everyone here.

Good book. Much of it I already knew and is common sense, but you are bound to come across a couple of things well worth the price of the book and the 2-3 hours to read it. I heard him on KERA (NPR Radio) "Think", and most of the good ideas were discussed on there.

Get it, you need this in your reference library.
I am a David Pogue fan. Every book of his that I have read, is amazing in it's content, However I believe he had outdone himself with this book. I found it packed with very useful. I liked it so well, a copy of it will be trees of my three adult children this Christmas.

Not for the Canadian market
The book has some good tips but it was written towards the US market and many of the services he describes are not applicable in Canada.
